No need to panic yet. They have typically not posted their Twitter announcement of the streams until Wednesday afternoon / evening Pacific time, so in about 5+ hours from now.

Don't know about others, but FWIW, I was asking out of the opposite of panic; I have enough empathy for the devs to hope the EAverlords don't make them march their sadfaces out every week for the next four months until every character's been released. They're not gonna have much to say, so they're just gonna sit there absorbing abuse and/or fielding requests for things they ultimately can't accomplish server-side. Most of those still watching will be the ones in disbelief that the game's been left for dead. Monthly streams on content release dates would probably be sufficient at this point.

There are *tons* of balance changes they can make. Now is the time for them to get serious about weapon and power balance. There are also some clever tricks they could do, as shown by PC modders, involving replacing powers with other powers.
They also could roll out new and interesting Apex missions - they have shown they can mix up the order of waves, number of waves, what the objectives are, etc.
*If* they are still motivated to do all of the above, that is.

I'd love to see that, but I very, very much doubt it'll happen. The skills some of us hate and would love to see replaced (e.g., for me, Barricade and Assault Turret) are those others consider mandatory and build around. Consequently, the only way really to implement a skill-swap without pissing off a lot more people would be to make it a player option. That'd require new UI features, which they've already said can't be done. At this point I'd settle for button re-mapping, but even that's extremely unlikely. As for the rest, I share the hope that they spend some time rebalancing some weapons/skills with server-side changes, but I don't know that they really need to continue to receive weekly requests. They're probably not going to make changes at this point that their use data don't support, and none of us have access to those numbers.

The modders achieved that result by changing client-side files. I don't see that being possible without a patch. And that's ignoring that they already said they're not willing to do that on principle.

Alright, throw out the 'modder' type changes and they could still dedicate themselves to analyzing and adjusting weapon and power balance.
Weapon balance is pretty self explanatory: we all know the anecdotes like 'Piranha sucks for a UR' - Bioware has the telemetry - they can make adjustments and see what happens.
Power balance is trickier, but they could still do stuff like tweak a power's cooldown to be slightly shorter, or make a power do slightly more damage if it is underused.
Again... *if* they care / have the resources.

They also kinda waffles on what damage values could be adjusted server-side. I'm not holding my breath. I'd say I'd love to be wrong, but come this time next week i doubt I'll care.

Those waffles are lovely and for quite some time i used to just eat them straight out of the packet, but then!... someone suggested that i rest these waffles on top of a steaming hot cup of tea (or coffee) for a while before eating them, and omg.. honestly, i'm so hooked on them now.

The very least they could have done to SHOW they were listening to no one liking the once a month kit drops was to do a dual kit drop and one of the new UR weapons and repeat the process next month before the game dies and everyone forgets it because of destiny 2, battlefront, and you know, good games.
There goes that hope.

Destiny 2 doesn't release on PC til October 24th, so BioWare's got that going for them, which is nice.

I'm just breathing a sigh of relief that they didn't give up on releasing the stuff found in the datamines. And the Juggy looks cool. I'm excited to try him out.
And I've actually been hoarding credits waiting for this, so I finally get to go on my spending spree!

The life of the forums can be pretty well measured by the good or bad state of the game. It seems to be a large part of the silence comes from 1) either there not being anything to say or 2) not wanting to state many of the obvious negatives of the game state. I'm just throwing out my two cents while there's somewhere to still throw it. To not vent about it everyday = forum silence because there's literally nothing else to talk about. Would love to see a modding forum started, but with support not "officially" ending for a long time, isn't it kind of frowned upon by the devs? Which is just depressing in and of itself because a modding initiative would probably greatly extend the life of the game and lobby creation ten fold over this joke that is "official support." I'd be elated to give them props for doing something praiseworthy. But alas, there's nothing outside of just dropping probably the most hyped kit. Also, watch the gif and it just looks like a Thokin... :\

They should have gotten serious about weapon and power balance about 2 years ago...or whenever it was cleared for the weapons to be implemented in the game the way they were. Making any changes now would literally just be for me and like 4 other people on PC.

I'd be elated to give them props for doing something praiseworthy. But alas, there's nothing outside of just dropping probably the most hyped kit. Also, watch the gif and it just looks like a Thokin... :\ Alright, I'll bite. If you're still invested enough in the game to play, and in its forum to post out of a self-aware "let's keep this going, guys" attitude, ask yourself whether constant negativity is likely to engage anyone or prolong the life of either. Have you considered that, in conjunction with the end-of-support news, the constant whining of a few may have driven away many of remaining few who would have continued to contribute at least occasionally? I'm certainly not blaming you or similar posters - the end of support is clearly the principal cause of the decline. But if every non-wangst thread gets shouted down by "Biower sucks!!" and the rehashing of gripes we all share but know won't be addressed, nobody's going to try to have any other discussion. I'm not talking about your own threads, or others' threads created explicitly to discuss negative aspects of the game or lament its end. Do your thing there. But do you have to bring this bullshit into every thread? (That's a rhetorical question. No, you don't.) Re modding: I'm on console, so I won't benefit, but I hope others do and manage to wring out a bit more of the potential this game could have expressed. If you're interested in fostering that but wary of the dev reaction, ask questions to that end in the Twitch stream. You certainly won't get an overt "yep, go for it" out of them, but if you phrase the questions intelligently you can probably at least gauge the risk of sanctions.
