Alright, I'll bite.

If you're still invested enough in the game to play, and in its forum to post out of a self-aware "let's keep this going, guys" attitude, ask yourself whether constant negativity is likely to engage anyone or prolong the life of either.

Have you considered that, in conjunction with the end-of-support news, the constant whining of a few may have driven away many of remaining few who would have continued to contribute at least occasionally? I'm certainly not blaming you or similar posters - the end of support is clearly the principal cause of the decline. But if every non-wangst thread gets shouted down by "Biower sucks!!" and the rehashing of gripes we all share but know won't be addressed, nobody's going to try to have any other discussion.

I'm not talking about your own threads, or others' threads created explicitly to discuss negative aspects of the game or lament its end. Do your thing there. But do you have to bring this bullshit into every thread? (That's a rhetorical question. No, you don't.)

Re modding: I'm on console, so I won't benefit, but I hope others do and manage to wring out a bit more of the potential this game could have expressed. If you're interested in fostering that but wary of the dev reaction, ask questions to that end in the Twitch stream. You certainly won't get an overt "yep, go for it" out of them, but if you phrase the questions intelligently you can probably at least gauge the risk of sanctions.
