If Bioware embraced the memes and bugs and made a completely intentional comedic game. All the guns would be held backwards, goofy grins and bugged eyes everywhere, characters reacting to disturbing situations in ridiculous, meme-worthy fashion, bodies auto-t-posing and flying through ceilings, and frequent slap fights (not limited to Krogans).
I actually enjoyed all of the memes and YouTube videos - and if Bioware could intentionally recreate this in a game where all of this is happening second by second, I'd enjoy that. The only thing I'd limit is cheap deaths - ie. shooting through walls, obviously.
This could create an entirely new genre, comedy Meme-RPGs.

I'm serious - why can't there be a comedy genre for games - all the other genres are covered.

For the sake of all that is holy, do not ever as much as look at another BioWare's game. I beg you.

I'm serious - why can't there be a comedy genre for games - all the other genres are covered. Play Saints Row IV, The Third or South Park. Also, you would have to finish MEA in order to laugh at all the memes and references.

I'm thinking more of a company intentionally making a bad game that is hilarious to play and marketing it as such "2017's worst game of the year" "3/10 metacritic average!" The joy would be in trying to find the most hilarious bugs in the game and posting them. A game that keeps on giving - similar to Andromeda in a way, but intentionally this time.

I think the terms you're looking for is parody. Or satire.
And frankly, games with a mix of self-aware satire can be some of the most entertaining. See: Metal Gear. Or even Citadel.
A full on parody game would be overkill I think. But an ME game that takes the piss once in a while might be a very fun thing indeed.

To be honest, I think Spaceballs is a bit overrated. If I was going to aim for parody, I'd rather go for something like Galaxy Quest, since beneath all the jokes there's a legit good movie.

I'm confused, is this supposed to mean something as a response? At a guess, that's the increase in classi'ness of the thread from the initial rating of 0. Of course factoring the Galaxy Quest mention was not done, but what can you expect from a gentleman of the exquisite tastes who prefers Spaceballs...
