It was fun the second go around, since the Xbox didn’t crash. Fun to rocket, snap freeze, and flak cannon the Hydra tonga line. Won’t open the pack (or buy the APEX Elite Pack) until tomorrow.

um how come it pops over 100 hydra's on wave 3 all right on top of the objective even if you happen to already be standing in it ? and yes they all fired at once and crashed my pc ....
apparently the game needs a much bigger amount of ram if its going to run that sort of stuff only it doesn't ask for it ..... me thinks someone screwed up the coding for this sort of thing....

Even the Strike Team mission kicks me out of the game as well. It didn't for me so I'm now waiting for the Strike Team to clear it. But I think that won't award me the pack. Not sure, though... |

Crashed 4 times in a row for me too all on wave 3. Crashes for me on wave 3 without fail. There's just waaaaay too many Hydra's for the game to handle. The moment they fire their missiles, everything crashes. Working as intended. |

Completed it (after around 7-10 different attempts; in groups; solo; different setups, etc) and we got through the run with a:
Scrapper (myself), Engineer, Infiltrator and Soldier. Used 4 Cobras myself and went through 4 Ammo packs as well. But killing them quickly seems to be the answer as someone else said earlier in the thread. Let enough of them spawn and rocket you and it'll crash full stop. No two ways about it. And it's got nothing to do with how powerful your system is either. Tried on a 3570 with 16GB RAM and basic 7750 Graphics card, to a 4930k 64GB RAM and a 7950 medium Graphics card. All died when the rockets start flying if you let them.

So, besides the scrapper, what other character can put out the deeps to kill this many hydras rapidly? I'm going to try this mission, hopefully before the biower stream, on Xbox. Lol so is this some kind of joke? Wave 3 rolls around and my first thought was "I don't see why everyone is complaining" Get on the hack and see 2 different waves of like 30 Hydra's stomping towards us and just went"OoOOohhhhh, now I get it"
So I guess this is unbeatable? First try we get the Hack like 85% of the way everyone ran out of cobra's, one of the randoms game crashed and I I crash as were getting swarmed by like 15 Hydra's. Great way to lead up to N7 day right? Have a "celebration" event that hard crashes your game when you try to complete it.

SO on my pc which while not highest of specs is still a very respectable octacore with 32gb ram, and an Nvidia gtx1070 and although we got through wave 1 and 2 fine, then came wave 3 .. the hydra's.. hack circle.. tons of them.. ok lets play round up.. nuke .. nuke.. mr president?
Gah, i'm now on try number 4, and each time the game crashes to desktop.
This is a p* take for sure, should have been put in on April 1st .. someone sack the tool that thought this was a good idea.

I believe the Soldier and Infiltrator both have Grendades that can be spec'd towards dealing with Armoured enemies, so it's the same with them, spam the grandes until they die scenario. Drop Cobras in between.
ALL Biotics are out (Far too slow). Unless they have a Grenade option as well, which I don't think any does at this time (normally). So that means NO to:
Human Adept, Human Vanguard, Asari Adept, Asari Duelist, Krogan Gladiator, Human Kineticist.
Or anyone with quick but weak powers, which means NO to:
Angaran Exemplar, Asari Sentinel, Asari Huntress.
The rest are probably down to how you are spec'd but these ones should be left out for now I feel from what we know so far.

Completed the mission on my first try with friends without crashing. Team: flak cannon spamming bat scrapper and bat vanguard, operator, nova spamming gladiator, all level 20. Quadruple debuff from invasion, snap freeze and 2 annihilation fields. I know normally this setup is way too OP on bronze but thanks to this we were able to dispatch hydras fast enough on wave 3 so they didn't cause any trouble. It was fun when you can actually complete it. Charging into a horde of hydras then biotic punching them all is hilarious.  |
