-Human Soldier power build is a beast
-Charger is the little common that could
-including the Tutorial pack, celebration Apex pack, ME3 loyalty pack, and other misc. starter packs, there's a lot of free stuff to get new accounts going
-if you think you'll ever want to start an alt account, but don't want to buy another copy yet, the trial is a good way to get an alt account up and running
-oof the grind is real
-leveling kits is a huge pain in the ass, even with XP boosters
-you can jump to gold right away if you know what you're doing
-doesn't take long to max bronze cards
-having to earn MF feels like a huge chore all the time
-if the host has fewer than 4 bars, you're gonna have a bad time
-even on Friday and Saturday nights in the US, it's hard to find gold lobbies
-unlike ME3MP's armor damage reduction, lack of consumable capacity upgrades feels like the only real obstacle to moving to gold+
-alt account name and exact Apex rating hidden out of modesty and to protect anonymity |

Wait, 4 bar hosts are a thing? I have NEVER seen that, even playing on friends' hosts. I guess this explains why every match is laggy to some degree. But yeah, I refuse to play on 2bar, that's just BS rolled up in Rubberbands.

Wait, 4 bar hosts are a thing? I have NEVER seen that, even playing on friends' hosts. I guess this explains why every match is laggy to some degree. But yeah, I refuse to play on 2bar, that's just BS rolled up in Rubberbands. The lag is pretty frustrating. I don't even play on fewer than three bars, but even then for about half the three bar hosts the game is borderline unplayable for me because of lag. Some of the three bar hosts I played with might as well have had zero bars. All the four bar hosts I played with were ok, though I did have ledge grab issues sometimes. |

If you host you see a lot of improvement but still no perfection. |

A very different way to do the trial (I'm 8+ hrs in):
APEX rating: 2122
Challenge rating: 295
15 weapons, 18 chars, 9 mods
...
Equipment: 20/32
Mission Funds: 2255
I started on the APEX HQ app when it first came out, months before getting access to the game on PC! (App lets you start on PC even without the game. That doesn't work on the XBOX giving you a blanket "privacy settings" warning)
Now I'm just waiting for APEX Elite Pack challenges before consuming the last 1+ hrs (if I can work up enough motivation to play again).
