I'd have to rate it as a N6, just as most of the rest of us seem to have done. Ironic that Andromeda fails to measure up to N7 status, and wasn't even supported long enough to reach N7 day.I just have to do this, you have made a fine point.

“Just enough” This is a “just enough” game based on the just enough principle. The visuals are very nice (characters and maps) but in every other department the game is built to give you “just enough” to sell the illusion that it is a proper game and not a money scam. Game stability: this is a prime example, the game was buggy as hell at release, it was ready “just enough” (barely or not at all) to be released. Maps: There is only a minimal variety, it is “just enough” to claim such variety exist. The effort is uninspiring and there is complete lack of uniqueness. I mean we are in a different galaxy but we get the standard “ice world”, “desert”, “mountain side” and “alien spaceship” maps. These maps could be anywhere (on Earth). Enemy factions: we get a cheap copy-paste of the ME3 “militants”, “robots” and “space zombies”; “just enough” to claim that there is a “variety of factions”. The composition of these factions is utterly uninspiring: remnant has 5 units; kett has 6 (not counting the behemot) and the outlaw has 5 not counting the ME3 agents (turian, salarian, asari, krogan). Just enough, just enough. Not counting the very generic outlaw units (trooper, sniper, mech) the only unit specific to andromeda is the adhi! Weapons: cheap watered-down copy-paste of Me3 weapons. There is not a single unique idea which has no ME3 counterpart. They even managed to f@ck up the copy-pasted ME3 weapons. The variety is “just enough” to claim that there is such and then it is artificially bloated by the “S”, siphon, bulwark and concussive versions. Melee: it is the same just enough principle. There is the punch and the krogan headbutt, “just enough” to claim that there is more than one melee type. Absolutely zero effort to create anything unque or even to implement old ME3 system. Powers: they purged the best powers of ME3 (warp, reave, stasis, warp bubble, lots of grenades, proxy mine) and castrated the rest (like overload). Again, there are “just enough” powers in the game and they are used highly repetitively, see next. Kits: cheap copy-paste, “just enough”. There are three kits with throw and lance combo, why? There are other repetitions, like the throw and ED and barricade & ED combos, why? Totally uninspiring. Overall, I have the feeling that MEAMP was just a burden for Bioware, but they were forced to do it. They put in “just enough” effort to make the game and as soon as their contractual obligations were over they moved to a different project. I just do not see the love, the care, the effort to create something unique and outstanding; it is a cheap copy-paste with jetpacks. Score: “just enough”, 2+1 (for the visuals). Just enough for me to give you a "like"

Right now, 4 out of 10. Worth playing if you have got Andromeda on a sale mainly to play the campaign but have got spare time to give the MP a try, so, why not. In my book, not a game worth getting into under any other scenario. The bugs, the immense loot pool, the netcoding, the poor performance optimization and the lack of players just kill the MP as a standalone mode.
Between release and patch 1.05, I would give it a 6 out of 10; it was buggy and unbalanced as hell, but it was fresh and some of us (including myself) had high expectations.
Between patch 1.05 and patch 1.08, I would give it 7 out of 10; the devs did show some work and interest in making a better game, which led us (or, at least, me) to believe this would be a long living, ME3MP like hit.
Post patch 1.09, 5 out of 10; insane loot pool increase. Just insane.
Post End of Andromeda announcement, 4 out of 10.

5. Not terrible, but nothing worth talking about.

I gave it a 7; it isn't the worst multiplayer I've played, nor is it the best. I enjoyed the game when it isn't a lag fest of rubber banding jelly-squid-cat people; to be fair I do still play at least once a week and probably have close to a 100 hours. Maybe I'll go mad and try to go for a 1000 hours to make some feeble attempt to unlock everything, or you know I could put those hours in Battlefront(2015) since I at least have twice the time played in that game and enjoyed it more. On release I'd give the multiplayer a 2 if the Sentinel and Soldier class didn't exist, but since they do I gave it a 4(I find them very fun to play compared to the others), now I give it a 7 due to some overall improvements to game. I'm enjoying the game more now than on release.
