Mass Effect Discovery last issue is due, according to TFAW.com, Oct 25th
Mass Effect Initiation, the #2 book, is due on November 28th per Amazon
Mass Effect Annihilation (or The Last Ark), the #3 book, does not have a release date though the author confirmed it will be released so probably some time beginning of next year.

One more interesting thing about "Mass Effect Initiation" - the "audible" version releases 11/06/2017 per Amazon, three weeks before the print or Kindle version. Also, it lists Mac Walters as a co-author.
Anyone here do Audible through Amazon?

Also, it lists Mac Walters as a co-author. Anyone here do Audible through Amazon? Mac appearing as co-author concerns me, mildly. I hope he contributed in small ways. I was thinking of these books again today as I completed another PT. "Annihilation" obviously jumps to mind as one completes the game. The early title, "The Lost Ark", corroborates BioWare's statement that quarian DLC was never planned. Still, I wondered earlier if any edits had to be made to the novel(s) after they decided no DLC would be made. I know they say that this was always the case, but I'm not buying that claim. If the game had been a hit, they'd have done something. That in mind, I silently wondered if any resolutions to loose threads had to be incorporated into the novel(s). Then, I see Mac Walters suddenly listed as co-author where he previously wasn't. 😒 Mac is a solid dude, but these are award-winning authors. They really went all out in landing this lineup of writers. I hope his involvement as a "co-author" is minimal.

They really went all out in landing this lineup of writers. I hope his involvement as a "co-author" is minimal. "Annihilation (or The Lost Ark)" was supposed to be the 2nd book, after "Nexus Uprising" but before "Initiation" and was supposed be out Sept 1st, which lines up with when the "Mass Effect Discovery" comic series, which also dealt with Quarians, was supposed to end in August. However, due to the game's reception, "Annihilation" gets postponed after "Initiation" and the last issue of "Discovery" gets postponed from August to end if October. I think that it's highly probable, based on the previously disclosed movement of the respective release times, that the comic and "Annihilation" were edited to include the lack of planned SP DLC or, at the very least, the lack of a initially planned immediate sequel. Mac Walters is a bit of an enigma. This is the dude that supposedly responsible for dragging the game out of development hell and getting it on the path to release in 18 months yet you hear ZERO from the guy...like absolutely no comment through any social media source or industry story since the game launched in March. It's just weird...you even heard more from Aaron Flynn and Casey Hudson who are notoriously tight lipped.

It's just weird...you even heard more from Aaron Flynn and Casey Hudson who are notoriously tight lipped. Actually, "Initiation" was supposed to be the first novel. Ms. Jemisin did not have it ready in time, so we moved to #2 on the list, "Nexus Uprising". They were supposed to run in order of events, from an in-setting perspective. "The Lost Ark/Annihilation" was going to be third, and then a theoretical Walters-authored novel was to be fourth. This fourth novel was to lead into the next stage of MEA, whatever that would've been. The fourth novel was scrapped long ago, as Mac became too involved in the other responsibilities.

Rather have DLC then books. That's the consensus here but EA doesn't see it that way so...
