This is not new content.It's been in the game for months. Every character mentioned in the blog post was datamined in early July, meaning they were included in the 1.09 patch and kept under lock and key until now. No, Bioware did not continue making MP stuff after the plug got pulled. No, EA did not contract another team to create these characters. It's more of the same shit that they pulled during the support cycle for MP, add a marginal amount of new stuff in a patch and then keep a portion of it time-gated so they could have a drip feed of content.

Cool. I like MEA and the multiplayer, but I think Bioware is just over Mass Effect. I can't see a new game being worked on until post Anthem and this DA project. I still think at some point after N7 day they'll announce that they have sold off the IP. Maybe not, it's their backup franchise at this point. It'd be both funny and shitty if they do though.
Maybe in the final apex mission we can kill Primus.

No lie, that nice concept art makes me actually want to use the ugly ass Remnant armor set.  I was really looking forward to MEA MP. The trustworthy and consistent feedback I saw made me stay away. I'm on PS4, so I have to pay-to-play. I would've done so for another ME3 MP. By all accounts, MEA MP cannot compare. |
