Starting a new game+ with an all-out Charge-biotic. Didn't readily find the answer to this: for the Damage Aftermath option of Backlash, does the damage boost still work after your aegis has been destroyed by enemy fire, or do I have to drop it manually to get the boost? I love being able to tank a Chosen for a few seconds then spring a Charge in them. :-D

I’m going to have to try this myself to find out. I have all my powers maxed so it’ll be a fun experiment.

You actually get the full buff if your Aegis breaks rather than letting it go early and getting a weaker damage aftermath IIRC.
Also the little minor stun you get when your Aegis breaks also eats into the buff duration which kinda sucks.

It doesn't really matter tho - if it breaks you get staggered and exposed to enemy fire, and you might miss out on the damage bonus anyway if you can't get your charge lined up fast enough. Bottom line: don't let your aegis break. As soon as it starts to turn red, release it and go to town. Great power, BTW. I think a lot more people would use it if we had more than 3 active skill slots. That said, it can be handy on a backup favourite profile because its base cooldown is tiny so you can use it almost straight away after switching.
