Yeah, from the sound of it, Austin is almost certainly up to something Star Wars-y, in addition to helping out with Anthem (and possibly DA too). And I agree that they'd likely keep the bulk of the DA work in Edmonton. KOTOR 3? Do I dare get my hopes up? SWTOR already ties up the story of KOTOR, so unless they're going to make a stand alone story in the 300 year gap between KOTOR 2 and SWTOR, I don't think they will. Personally, and this is more of I-really-hope then a serious guess, that they redo SWTOR in the Frostbyte Engine and add more class story. Just watching what they've done with the SW Battlefront 2 I'd really like to see it, specially cus SWTOR has been hampered since the beginning by it's choice of engine. And imagine the updates they'd be able to do, since all the future Star Wars games would be built on the same engine and be able to share assests! Like, I said this is more of a pie-in-the sky hope thing.

But it still sounds like there is some kind of SW game in the works. I mainly think it's a star wars game cus EA doesn't actually have many Star wars games being made despite it being an expensive IP and probably one they'd quite like to maintain. There's SWTOR which was made before they got the deal with disney, the new SW Battlefront coming out and there's a Star Wars game being made with Visceral and Motive, which isn't really that much. And I've had the feeling for a long time that Austin was up to something with the hiring spree and all (What can I say, I'm a suspicious person ). Just kinda hopeful with the redoing SWTOR or even a sequel thing, as I think there's a gem of a game in there, it's just rough round the edges. I think a second try with all Austin has learnt would go really well.

KOTOR 1 and 2 (Obsidian) are some of my favorite games of all time. SWTOR is ok but I never really wanted to play an MMO.

A couple of years ago they made a number of changes to SWTOR to make it more solo friendly (alot less grindy) so if haven't played it for a while it could be worth going back and giving it another go? The 8 Class Stories are awesome and worth a playthrough and the lasttwo expansion packs really doubled down on the cinematic story experience Bioware is known for. I actually played SWTOR at launch then gave up cus it was so grindy but I tried it again a couple years ago (when KOTFE expansion came out) and am hooked.

Enlighten me how an elf or a qunari could reach the higher circles of Tevinter society without repercussions? As it's common for Dragon age protagonists.

Well, it'd make sense if DA4 actually followed the plot in the leak we now can reasonably call fake. But since we don't know what will actual game story be, we can't even tell that we're going to start with a protagonist who is from Tevinter, much less begin the game in Tevinter itself. All Dragon Age protagonists so far were outsiders, in one way or another. They either lived in their little bubble and were stripped of everything they were before by joining the Wardens, or they were refugees running from Blight to a far-away city, or they hailed from Free Marches and were never anybody too important to begin with.

An idea I was toying with was elven and qunari slaves, along with the human and dwarf protagonist losing their status due to their home city and familial power bases being lost to the qunari invasion. The equalizing power would be Dorian coming along to act as the new PC’s patron.

Depending on their masters, some slaves in Tevinter have more influence than the average free citizen. If our new protagonist started as property of a high ranking Magister, preferably the Archon himself, it could explain how our characters would have access to the major players. Maybe we could even get an Origin from it...

They always give the protagonist some larger than life status that functions as a get out of jail free card. Warden status gives you power, Herald status gives you power... in the event that they have multiple playable races again, I'm sure they'll think of something. As far as "no repercussions" goes, one of my favorite things in DAO was returning to Orzammar as a casteless dwarf. You were able to engage in political fuckery, sure, but most people still spat at you and accused you of reaching beyond your station or not being worthy of the Wardens. They could do something like that again.

How could the mage Vivienne become Divine? Equally absurd and impossible, yet somehow it occurred and it is particularly disturbing when you didn't vote for it, in fact weren't even aware it was an option and then suddenly at the party you are introduced to Divine Vivienne. Where did I go wrong!!!!

Giving Vivienne your support isn't the end of all be of the Divine election choice. The game also tallies a lot of your earlier decisions like whose ruling Orlais, whether you allied or conscripted mage or templars, or what kind of speech you make when you first become Inquisitor. That said, I heard there are still bugs out there that make it so that Leliana gains election points whenever she she's supposed to actually lose them, so that might be your problem.

In my case the choices I had made seemed to have made it literally impossible for it to be anyone but Vivienne. I realised I hadn't voted for Cassandra, so I went back and did so, but it still resulted in Vivienne. Dorian was most amused by the outcome. As he said, it reminded him so much of home, without the blood magic.

I like bits and pieces of it, especially it being a game more like DA2. Salos... yeah right, S'alos maybe - after it goes through Patrick Fewer companions I am fine with, if it means we get more content for all. Human only works for me too, although Inquisition would definitely have worked better if the playable species had been baked in instead of tacked on. The rest seems very fake though, considering a majority of it is new rather than stuff carried on from Inquisition/introduced in Trespasser. Properly dealing with Hawke would be good, but there's no way the Inquisitor would not feature in this game more, considering how personal Trespasser made things. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ As for a SW game? I'd really like to see a setup/mashup similar to the Rebels series / ME. Have your own band of rebels you join up with that fly around in their own nice ship / homebase etc. Going on missions for the Rebels and meeting up occasionally with known SW characters from here and there for special story missions.
