Fernando reiterated in the Twitch stream that balance changes were still coming. I've been playing with it and the Sovoa's going to be a tough gun to balance. Its splash damage is really useful in groups and forgiving when aiming is off. It just kind of sucks right now in one on one situations. Especially when staring down a krogan. Buffing it too much will throw the entire game's balance off in a hurry. At rank 1 on a turian soldier with Assault rifle 2 and a disruptor 2 amps in felt kind of okay. That's more help than it should need but not by a huge amount. Actually if they Buff a gun by +/- a guns usefullness Vs shields/health/armor, the entire weapon list could be bronze/platinum viable. If my hurricane did 50% damage to shields but had a -50% damage Vs armor, yea it would suck in a way, but then I'd actually HAVE to use some other gun. Not only that, it brings back dual weapon usage, and gives the Weight system a reason to exist at all. All Assault rifles should have a armor/shield modifier thats what they were always for. SMGs should blaze shields, but be terrible vs armor. Single slow shot pistols and snipers bust armor (why the FUCK does Black Widow not have built in piercing? Like really who though "Lets take this out!"....) Shotguns are like up close assault rifles. Whats even better is the system didn't have to be stuck to 100%, you could have 1 SMG reversed to be great vs armor and shyt vs shields. Just to fill that niche.... It was a beautiful system that made every weapon worth using. Now its just fast rate of fire and heavy hit. Period... casual corny... Balancing the weapons is a heavy call, but bioware has had over 6 months. NASA plans rocket voyages in 6 months.... like really... the weapons in this game are more complicated... than REAL life space flight... Also, for some reason, and it may just be me, but no guns seem to have any recoil... making the stability mod completely useless...I think the charger is the only weapon that I remember having any form of recoil. The slow RoF weapons like sandstorm and halberd are fucking garbage, and honestly I think they were balanced around RoF, and RoF is balanced around having no recoil. Take away RoF and replace it with actual recoil, so unless you actually could counter it with aim, you can't just spam a trigger.

Jumbo Premium Pack - " ...with 5 improved chances for an Ultra-Rare"
[Warning, picky rant mode..]
Who writes this stuff? What the hell does that even mean?
I can see what they were "thinking" (I use the term generously): they took every number from the Premium Pack description and multiplied it by 5.
And they end out with some misleading drivel. There aren't 5 improved chances for an ultra-rare. There are 10 chances for an ultra-rare. Premiums have 2 chances for an ultra-rare. So, if you want to be technical, it is 5 times the chance for at least one ultra-rare (at 5x the cost, so same per credit).
Why didn't they just say "5 Premium packs combined together (though we probably introduced some glitches along the way)"

Why didn't they just say "5 Premium packs combined together (though we probably introduced some glitches along the way)" Your criticism may or may not have merit. "Improved" is a comparative term; in this instance it seems most likely that it's intended as a comparator to the UR drop rates of the Premium/Arsenal/Reserves packs. It's too early for anything conclusive, but the anecdotal evidence so far tends to indicate the Jumbo Premium has at least a slightly higher drop rate than the Premium tier. Could that have been made clearer? Yes. But that's probably not an accident. They've told us point-blank that they're barred from disclosing the drop rates for specific packs, which means they're almost certainly also explicitly limited in the comparative language they can use.

Unless we get actual recorded figures from hundreds of Jumbo Premium Packs, I'm going to assume that they have the same 25% drop rate per primary slot that's been established for every one of the classic packs, minus post-nerf Experts.

Remember when they first introduced Arsenal and Reserves packs in ME3MP and people were convinced it was a change in drop rate due to ambiguous wording? It wasn't.
Really, you are reading far too much into what is just poor wording. I know I'm saying without proof, but I really think we should let occam's razor apply. They didn't change rates for these packs. If they did, you can be quite confident they changed it with the others (unless someone glitched on entering a parameter). Why would they? IT IS JUST POOR WORDING.
Just re-read it: "5 improved chances for an Ultra-Rare". Stop and try to parse that. It is meaningless. There are 10 rare slots in the pack. Why/how would it result in FIVE improved chances? Improved compared to what? You really think they improved 5 of them, but not the other five? ... or what??
Then look at the wording for the Premium Pack "with a higher chance for at least 1 ultra-rare". Isn't it obvious they just took that sentence, multiplied by 5, and slightly reordered the wording?
It is a wording issue. By someone who doesn't know probabilities, logic, or (most likely) math.
And every time they do this, a bunch of us go wild trying to see if something changed that inevitably did not (unless they glitched)

I have a really important question. Probably to important...but is there a pity timer for a jumbo premium?
Say for instance you buy a jumbo.. no ur. Then buy another. Has anyone (clearly with assloads of funds) even noticed? Buying 2 jumbos and getting no UR would be the worst thing in history of bioware poo...

According to this Reddit thread, it should work properly (pity time kicks in on equivalent of 10 Premiums, i.e. 2 jumbos)

opened a jumbo-premium-pack and only got nine rares and one uncommen instead of at least 10 rares. nice one bioware. If you see cards less than expected it means you got multiple ranks of one of the same items. In which case it doesn't show the duplicate items because it just wouldn't make sense, but it's indeed causing lot of confusion. For example if you have equalizer rank 5 and you open jumbo premium pack and actually got 3 cards of equalizer. It will show you card only for equalizer rank 8, which indeed reduces the number of cards you actually see than mentioned in the description. I hope this clears up for everyone, also jumbo premium pack is equivalent to opening 5x premium pack with no higher chances of getting UR's than a single premium pack.
