Does this happen often?
This game does play much better than DAIMP, so I will give it that. I did get instakilled in my second game and never knew what hit me, and I got stuck in the box on my third. So, it is also glitchy AF.
But, the gameplay itself is decent. Makes me somewhat hopeful for the quality of Anthem gameplay actually.

You actually think people are going to trust Bioware enough to give them money for Anthem? After they stopped support for ME:A without a single DLC chapter at the drop of a hat. Not even any multiplayer bug fix patches after just 5 months, leaving the game glitchy as fuck. They're going to have to do something radically profound to get people interested in buying Anthem. After that E3 demo, we'll need to see something far more substantial in regards to lore because RNG drops on the battlefield is certainly not going to cut it.

No...people will gladly go and buy anthem and pretend MEA issues never existed, then complain that the same issues if not worse are in anthem...
WELCOME TO HELL CASUAL LAND!

I did extract from Gold in like my third match... This game is totally casual.
I did get curried to an extent, but I had plenty of kills with my level 6 human vanguard with a Katana.
The difficulty level compared to ME3MP is laughable.

Can someone please explain to me why some seem to think "casual" is an insult in the context of gaming? I keep seeing the same handful of people use it so frequently that the distinction must be very meaningful to them.
I mean, I guess if you're literally making your livelihood streaming or playing in tournaments there's room for an argument that you've earned the right to condescend to people who play games exclusively for leisure.
It'd still be stupid -- like a super-low-rent version of an NBA player who wastes his time cruising random neighborhoods to crow about how he's better to people playing pickup games -- and more demeaning to the one making it than the listener, but an argument.
But if you're not a literal pro, you might as well be bragging about your masturbation skills. So, congrats on taking this shit real serious, or on being too sexy and aloof to take this specific game seriously because it's not PVP, I guess?

So, congrats on taking this shit real serious, or on being too sexy and aloof to take this specific game seriously because it's not PVP, I guess? Casual is and insult when it twist game developers into thinking its ok to sell $60 hippo toilet paper. MEA is EXACTLY the way it is because it is meant to cater to people who leisurely play a little bit then move on to something else. EVERY SINGLE MOTHER FUCKING PROBLEM IN THIS GAMEis the way it is because bioware and everyone above them knows that casual players don't give a shyt about dept and sophistication. You play 15m-1h then get back into your iphone. Thats it, there is no reason for there to be anything in any game that requires someone to sit and think, that doesn't sell copies. Powers all cross detonating, guns being bland and simple, there being no recoil, all the kits being recycled with a little bit of spice, microtransactions, EVERYTHING, EVERY SINGLE FUCKING THING all the way up to the fact headshots are an issue (casuals don't need to headshot, "i'm just here for fun dog!") are things that were implemented in the game to keep a casual player comming back for that slight chance to spend some money getting that 1 item they need out a RANDOM pool. Now i'm not saying bioware thought the game would fail as hard as it did, nah, who would spend time building to fail...but tell me .....who saw jetpacks coming in MEA....I sure as hell did, before I even played the game, because other games used them. People have been saying bioware dropped the game 6 months after release... LOL no bioware dropped this game before they released it to the public knowing 100% well that they were going to move full throttle to anthem. There is no business that just drops surprises on its entire team and instantly makes big moves. Someone somewhere knew LONG ago things would be changed, I'd bet my brownies and iced cream that there were whispers of people moving at bioware long before MEA released. Now... if your a casual gamer, there is nothing in itself wrong with that. I myself am a casual gamer. I play MEA.. to, I mean come on! Also, to be dead honest, there hasn't been a non-casual game released since... god dam...since sega dreamcast....everything that you can go online with and play with anyone else, is made to make $$$ now. Bigger more experienced companies just know how to capture and recapture pawns every year. Bioware sadly had a more "medium-core" fanbase and completely busted it with the casual catering. Enough useless ranting for now my ice cream is melting.... :sob:

I am a pretty casual gamer, but learned to like the higher difficulty MP as it felt less casual.
Nothing wrong with being casual... To me this game is too casual in that nothing has any real oomph, and the only genuine fear is a lag-induced sync kill.
I would prefer more challenge. That is why there is difficulty levels, sure. But as a new player that had never played any of the maps before today, and only faced the Kett thus far in my 4 hrs of SP - it was a breeze. I scored second on a silver... With a Katana.
