Nice! I'm actually surprised at the first person PoV, and how well done it is. Just be prepared for the ones who are going to click this thread and instantly dismiss it because it's not their Mass Effect. Otherwise, I dig it. An awesome option to bring some life to the game again.

An awesome option to bring some life to the game again. Thanks, I literally spent tens of hours fine tuning all the stuff. It's a much more complex task than I imagined, almost like redesigning half the game haha.

In FPS shooters the head mesh is also invisible, with the arms mesh attached to the camera (or the other way around rather). And if I disregard my general dislike of first person cameras, I have to admit it's pretty impressive work

What's the plan for conversations? Do those snap back to default ME:A? Everything I've done with this mod so far summarizes to a one-for-all solution which means regardless of what gender, character, race, weapon you're holding/firing, it's always the same setup. Unfortunately, this all breaks when it comes to conversations, because for most cutscenes, the camera's position is keyframed. While I'm a bit insane, I'm not insane enough to rewrite the entire game by changing each cutscene out there manually. Moreover, as the FP mod hides the head mesh, I have to manually make it re-appear each time there's a conversation. That's about as far as I'm willing to go, which means it'll just be third person. I don't think the mod will ever be polished enough where you can fully roleplay as a first person ryder. Mostly, it just makes exploration more immersive, as you slowly walk across the landscape looking down the horizon. That's where the mod truly shines. I don't expect people to buy this game or replay it just for this mod alone.

Collection of 5 clips, skip to 5:35 if you want to see non-combat SP hubs only. I really want to get the mod out as soon as possible, but need more time. I've already spent 150hrs+ into this :/ As always, amazing work, wavebend. Looks fucking great.

Unfortunately the game just wasn't intended that way, and it shows on the animations.
You'd have to redo a lot of animations to make first person work animation-wise, but otherwise, this shows that a first person ME game could work splendidly. If it were a spinoff, or an optional setting. The core series should always have a third person option.
I'm a bit sad that ME3MP wasn't the original Battlefield: Mass Effect concept but rather the horde mode we got.

That looks fantastic. Combat looks a lot better than I imagined it would. Keep us posted and let us know when you release the mod. I'm sure there will be quite a few people who'd love to try it out.
It has a totally different feel to 3rd person.
