Maybe we need to get on a wanted list so we're imprisoned on the train but we use our dasterly know-arounds to unlock ourselves and claim the prize from the train-shuttle. No joke, something like that would actually be a fantastic excuse for letting Ryder/the player act like the 'bad guy' for a while. Even divorced from the train example. Say Ryder has to infiltrate a 'splinter group' of the Andromeda Expedition military, who've been, I dunno, stealing Khet technology from peaceful worlds, thereby ruining the colonists' reputation in the sector, and who appear to still have spies operating within the original Andromeda Expedition military. She deliberately gets herself in trouble - having tipped off this game's Anderson equivalent/her commander ahead of time - gets dishonourably discharged, and then joins up with this splinter group, having tricked them into thinking she has a grudge against her former employers/supports their way of doing things. At the end of the mission, you can either expose their operation outright, or - if you agree with the splinter group's methods - provide the Expedition with false information, thereby allowing the splinter group to continue their operations on the sly. Okay, so I may have nicked that whole idea from a Stargate episode (SG-1 e.318 'Shades of Grey') but still, it works! I can see this for a multi-quest mission. Maybe have it so whichever sibling gets into the most troubles gets involved in the group and can be controlled to help further the mission. Even the initial "reasoning" for being discharged could be role played so there's always the option of failure.

Eh, I'm honestly not so hot on the idea of us controlling both siblings throughout the game. I enjoy the occasional split from the main protagonist in RPGs - rescuing the the Exile in KotOR II, rescuing the Warden in Dragon Age: Origins, saving the Normandy as Joker in ME2, and so on - but I don't think I'd enjoy straight-up playing as two separate people, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate-style. I like the idea of the sibling potentially being involved in the group, but as an NPC, not a playable character.

I get what you're saying though. Even with only the occasional break from the PC in KotOR2 it was a bit much.

Why settle for one quest in a shoehorned setting? The Bioware Secret IP must be set in the Firely/Serenity universe! Give us a whole franchise! I can dream, can't I?Now, y'see, that's impossible 'cause The BioWare Secret IP is actually Star Trek. They're making that Star Trek RPG - TNG-era, but not set aboard the Enterprise, so we can have original characters with the occasional cameo - I've been dreaming about since I was six. That would be fun. Personally I'd want the Defiant-class as my ship. Been playing STO on Xbox One (pretty good for a F2P mmo) and I'm almost ranked up enough to get one.

Now if it's a enemy spaceship on the other hand. Ah, but we can up to the anty now. While ships are cool, or even train from ships … we've got jetpacks! Why not a horizontal jump from a flat-out run? It would [be] unprecedented, dangerous and bound to be hilarious as some aspect's about to go wrong eventually.

I like the Defiant, but I want to explore strange new worlds, not blow them up, so it's probably not the ship for me. Honestly, my ideal pick would probably be another Galaxy-class - it's always been my favourite - or maybe an Excelsior... Or, for a left-field suggestion, Andrew Probert's original concept for the Ambassador-class/Enterprise-C, repurposed as a different class since we already have an on-screen Ambassador: I played a bit of STO, but I'm just not much of an MMO fan, so it didn't stick with me. Thought the ship combat was pretty good, though--'specially for big online game.

The Firefly references I was expecting. But the prominence of Kasumi in this thread is a very nice surprise and treat indeed.

No...? yeah mission specific folks, kasumi the second + hamburgler + 2 goons sounds perfect I mean nothing will go wrong right ? its not like dropping a star ship down next to maglev train doing 5000 kph 10 feet off the deck for a jump jet insertion would even be difficult sounds absolutely like they should use it for a dlc mission
