My head-canon is an Open Palm and Sagacious Zu's "behind the scene" romance for a female Monk and Silk Fox for a male (though maybe Sky, not sure yet), also Open Palm. Closed Fist is still too evil-stupid in this game, and not that satisfying. Playing it now, and it's a struggle, and the game gilt-trips you too. So, my Male is probably be going end up not defining his Path, as much as I don't like the gray RP.
I'd say that my headcanon companions for the first one would be Zu and Wild Flower, and for the second one would be Zu--> Silk Fox or Sky depending on romance and Hu/Whirlwind depending on the day.
Overall, I headcanon my F!SM to be dead-determined and eager, while the M!SM to be more of an accidental hero forced to do what has to be done.
