I tried running this from Steam using all kinds of compatibility modes. Nothing worked so I had to ask for a refund. 
EDIT: Same with KOTOR 2. Really bums me out.
Strange. I haven't tried KOTOR but KOTOR 2 runs fine for me. KotOR2 also runs fine for me on Steam. What Windows version are you on? |

Strange. I haven't tried KOTOR but KOTOR 2 runs fine for me. KotOR2 also runs fine for me on Steam. What Windows version are you on? Same for me. Win 10 it runs fine. Occasional crash but it works. |

I own both the Steam and GoG versions, and for me the GoG versions run fine on Win 10. I bought the GoG versions cause when I bought a new PC it came with Win 10, and for some reason it had trouble running the Steam versions |

Well, no significant issues that wouldn't be present with Win7 as well, so I chalked them up to age.
(Sometimes movement for a character would lock up and I'd have to use another character to move the party until I encountered a loading screen, but that was really it)

Yeah, I just worked around it, and when it happened with a solo character (think Manaan, or Endar Spire) I just saved and reloaded there on the spot. Clicking to interact with something still makes the character move there, and reloading fixes it, so it's a mere annoyance.
