Does anyone else find it the most annoying day to play with multiple frag grenade and flak cannon spammers in every match, I feel like a spare wheel trying to get a kill in now and again if playing anything else than a spam class on these days and usually I get the challenges done then play later when it all dies down. Personally I find it easier to do a couple of solo runs and you get the combat challenge over and done with but everyone else seems to do it in matches, I'm not sure what anyone new trying to play on combat challenge days sees apart from a game full of spammers making it much harder for them to level up and probably disenchanted with the game if they start on a combat day especially. Everyone can play how they like of course but maybe they would find it easier doing a couple of solo runs as well rather than taking 10 times as long with all the other spammers doing the same thing, just a thought

It's probably the fastest paced type of power spam because of how good the abilities are, and if you can do it naturally in games that run smooth and everyone contributes it is quite enjoyable.
Faster matches means faster leveling, more money, and faster completion, so its really a win win all around. The only downside to the challenge is that the characters who do it best can be dull if you try to play them every day, so doing it once in a while isn't bad.

Warning Dickmode Rant and Whine!
I never cared what the challenge is. I do care that every single fucking match is the challenge, or worse, that they've done the challenge and EVERY OTHER MATCH is the same dam map and faction because people don't know how to change the dam map. The game already lacks variety and these players choose to slash it down even more.
I compromised with all the bugs, broken and imbalanced shyt in this game, but dwindling population, and the pugs that are still around either being complete trolls or morons, (and I hate insulting people but its due when its due...) was the tipping point. There is no one to play with besides in bronze, and stars forbid I step in bronze. I can't even fart and not kill an enemy. And even with overly powerfull weapons, the game is set up to where enemies don't even spawn fast enough to get a game done in under 8 minutes.
I got so annoyed with MP I jumped back into singleplayer at prime time North America..... gold games with 1 pug infiltrator is no different than solo, and platinum games where everyone is using fucking equalizers (WHO REALLY MADE THIS FUCKING TRASH GUN POPULAR!!??) is still solo.
I've already bought D2 but I have 30 or so games I've bought in my life and never finished. Going to finish SP out just for sake of enjoying what I payed for and pop in and out of MP once new characters are released. Once SP done though, I'm going the same path of the company that made the game and shelfing this.
And for those that don't know, my location is the way it is because it (used to take) 20 minutes to fill my host. Even with ports open and everything. Now the only reason for me to host is to test out gun builds solo.

Combat mastery days are the best; gold pug matches are reliably done in 12 minutes.

I'll take combat challenge days over Firebase Zero map days any day of the week. It's already hard enough to find pugs that aren't set to Outlaw:Zero on normal days. On challenge days it's impossible.

I didn't finish it but still can't quite identify exactly why, except for 'being bored with it'. So, I'm interested in what other players have to say about it...

The way they put together the ending is actually really well done and felt, to me, like the way they should have done the ending of ME3. I have a lot of issues with a lot of the decisions they made in single player but the ending isn't one of them. Stop dicking around in the "open world" and finish the main story line. It's worth it. SP feels best when the story is driving it forward like it did in the original trilogy.

Just finished havarl, but I already noticed a big issue in how the story is presented. The story needed this. The Casual/Emotional/Logical/whatever story choices aren't enough to keep anyone interested. Especially because from trying different choices, you still end up with the same result. The game puts everyone basically in a "good-guy to neutral" position so far from what I've played. The choices so far also don't seem very impacting on the outcome. I'm not to far into the story but I haven't felt I've made any actuall decisions that change the outcome of anything. Sometimes people want to save the entire galaxy, and still be the bad guy dickhead while doing it.

... Just finished havarl, but I already noticed a big issue in how the story is presented. ... Wow, you are certainly more perceptive than me. I finished the single player about 2 months ago and in the end, I found no story, none, the game has no story, it is a story about nothing. All quest lines without any exception are absolute failure. I did get some nice combat with full auto valkyrie with remnant sink and lots of biotic explosions thanks to N7 armor that lowers cool downs but that was the best part. The shell is empty on the inside, there is nothing there. And I don't even want to mention the dialogues since after a certain point, I just skipped them all.

Well... to be honest, and i'm sure people will flip ape-shyt over this. That is how ME1-ME3 were as well. The stories weren't that original and the acting especially in ME1 was hysterical. It was boring and repetitive gameplay, but I actually played and finished the game because I wanted to see what the next stupid thing would go down. ME2 wasn't as funny, more emotionally driven story and I actually thought it was alright. ME3 was pretty good being a video game story, and I thought the 3 ending thing was awesome. It wasn't very realistic and to peoples liking, but its what I came to expect from space magic from the get go. MEA is ME3 casual style where some gaps need to be filled in and the story is rushed through. All of them were empty inside. The whole "my face is tired" thing blew me away... Its like people completely forgot about the games before.

I finally got around to playing Dragon Age: Origins this week, and it's amazing how hackneyed and overly expository the writing is. I'm sure I would have thought it was excellent eight years ago, but playing it alongside ME:A, it's all pretty much the same Bioware stuff, as far as plot and dialogue go.

I hate soloing but at times have to do so by no choice of mine. I can understand that frustration as I use concussive shot and flak cannon and just spam the crap out of it for a few matches to get the combat thing done. I think we are do for some engineering challenges soon.
