Hello everyone.

We know that the Angara have settlements on Aya, Havarl and Voeld, but what is with the Kett? Everything I saw in the game are military outposts but not a Kett colony. From where get they their weapons, their shuttles and landing ships? Without a settlement in the rear hand, the Kett looks like bandits more than like an army.

And it´s not only the small stuff. They have giant Battleships. These ships come out of nowhere. A planet with an supporting infrastructure and a orbital base for the fleet would make the whole Kett more believeble.

There are comments, audio logs and text in the game that gives information about where the Ketts come from (i.e. not the Heleus cluster) and that what you encounter is just an invasion force. alanc9 posted a few.

There are others too, like their ships having Alcubierre drives that allow them to travel great distance way faster than normal FTL drives do. There is also a side quest about the Kett power structure and how the Archon is failing to send info back "home".

It was also revealed through the main quests that most of the Kett you fight in the game are

actually exalted Angara and that the Angara used to have more colonies before the conflict with the Kett started.

Need license for any real weapon, but once you meet the prerequisites I'd liken it to Texas with freedom of carry.

Was referring to myself with the reference to the red state in the USA, actually. Sorry for any confusion.
It's cool that the Czech Republic allows for private gun ownership and carry of arms though.

I think that sort of thing should be a basic and universal right as we all have the right to defend our lives.

Gonna have to go that route in my next game.

I think in one of the labs during Hunting the Archon, there is a terminal where the Archon refers to Andromeda as "our galaxy." So, the kett are either originally from elsewhere in Andromeda or have been in Andromeda so long they consider it to be their home. They definitely are not native to the Heleus Cluster though.

Gah I wish Andromeda would get a sequel. I'm still interested in exploring more about the galaxy and finding out more about the Kett. Sure they seem similar to the Reapers... at first. I think they have the potential to be just as if not more interesting than our former foes. The only thing is, I think the deal with Primus and this intel about a Kett world should have been worked into the main plot. It was kinda weird having lengthy but easy to miss or skip side quests that directly effect the end mission.

I agree, I think the reason the Kett make such underwhelming opponents is we get so little information about them. I know, some people complain about "lore dumps", but with next to no background information they are just plain boring. Why did they hide this information about their empire, including several new sentient races, in a codex entry? To make it worse, this particular codex entry is only obtainable if you choose the -to most players, I presume- less appealing option to solve that quest. I don't know if they tried to be sneaky or didn't deem it important enough to the game, I don't get it.

No, more like a several planets spanning empire with several vassal races, not all of them kettified. Could be they use them as slaves, as resource material or maybe even managed to gain some as allies, who knows. The thing is, we will probably never know because it's entirely possible they dropped the whole Andromeda setting. I still don't believe they won't continue ME in any other form, but Andromeda might be a dead end. The Kett's corner of the galaxy could have been an interesting location for a sequel, but now we just got some vague hints at something bigger than what we see of them in MEA.

I think they're native to Andromeda just not the Heleus cluster my guess would b one of the nearby clusters. But yeah it's hinted strongly that they are an empire of sorts and that the Archon is just one leader among them and that there are many others. But for the purposes of MEA it's only the Archon in Heleus that's the problem you have to solve.

Hopefully it will in time we just need to be patient and see what happens. They haven't said there won't be any sequels at all they've just said there won't be any for a while. As they've got to figure out where they want to take it from here and make sure things don't go as bad for the sequel.

In Liam´s loyality mission we saw a sleeper ship from the Kett, means , that they travel a long time to Heleus.Does anyone think they call for material at home? "We need 10.000 assault rifles", the answer comes years later, "on the way, arrives in 20 years".

My point is, where is the Kett main base? A kind of colony to build all the things they need for their crusade. A base for their big spaceships we saw in the cutscenes. Maybe a hidden slave planet for all the Angara who are not good enough to be transformed into Kett.
