I'm subscribed to the BW store news e-mail and I was going to see some of the new N7\anniversary items. Guess what? They had banned the entire region.
Now, thank you so much, dear BW! Apparently, my region is only good enough for grabbing our money for your games.
I suspect that other CIS countries might also be affected by this shit.
ps: yes, I know that mods are very likely to shut the thread down. Do as you must. I don't normally post angry rants, but here I am - really angry.

There are a few potential explanations for that.
I'd be inclined to do a bit of testing, just to be sure. My instinct is that a move like that would have made the news, and there may be another explanation behind what is happening.
Some regions have been locked out by EA (I know there is a south american territory that was hit) but nothing as big as Russia, that I've heard. Is it possible that you had a VPN app running, or possibly logged through a proxy?
And I can't help but wonder dafuq a CIS country is? O.o

It seems Amazon Web Services (AWS) - which includes CloudFront - has introduced regional distribution options as a service to their customers. You could send Amazon an email to find out if the region lock is intended and whether it was done by request of the customer. If so, you might try dropping EA a line posting that on EAs facebook page... |
