Remembering Mass Effect 10 years on

Yeah same, Dorian ended up being my favorite character in Inquisition.
In ME3 you just couldn't be nice with Cortez without leading to some degree of flirtiness which was a bit annoying when I tried to play a heterosexual character. And the scene with Kaidan kinda doing a full advance on you even though you never give him the time of day on the matter was awkward AF.

The non-charitable explanation is that people can't handle their PC being awkward. They need the PC to be a Mary Sue because it's all the affirmation they get in this world. 

I don't know what the charitable explanation would be.

Yeah, the scene was weird because even though Ryder is supposed to be 22 the scene felt more appropriate for a 14 year old telling her first crush that she like her. 

Nice strawman you have there, wonder what it has to do with anything...wait are you using a strawman as a strawman for my argument rather then dealing with my argument? Curious strategy.

My obligatory point of BioWare romances try to hit very different chords intentionally.  Its a tradition going back to...Mass Effect 2?

For me, it depends on how a remake is done. I like Pokémon's remakes because they do more than just update the graphics for the old games: they add new features, update the combat system, add more content to or otherwise improve the story and try to improve upon what was criticized. You're not just buying a prettier version of an game: you're buying a significantly improved version of the old game that feels like a new game in good ways and like the old game in the right ways. It also helps that GameFreak don't just rely on remakes: before each remake, there's a new game. 

I guess the difference to me is how much effort is put into a remake. If the remake of the trilogy would just be a graphically prettier version with improved combat then I'd only be interested in buying a remake of the first installment but if they tried to do something like GameFreak does with its remakes like add content, improve story and so on then I might be more interested.

I already have the trilogy and it doesn't look dated enough for me to be interested in a remaster or remake because of a graphical update. There needs to be more to it for me to consider it worth a purchase. 

I'd pay just for ME3's default femshep in the first two games.
