I kinda feel the same with maleShep in ME3, the pseudo flirting between him and Cortez and then Kaidan, especially Kaidan, that scene is so WTF. Those were kind of "in you face" . That's why I thought the same will happen with Inquisition when they revealed Dorian was a homosexual character, I thought they'll have some flirting or advances or something at some point if you played male Inquisitor, I was wrong though. I'm sure it was more general laziness than anything else... however it was always frustrating to have to jump through conversational hula hoops just to avoid flirting with Kaidan accidentally. Cortez was probably worse so I generally avoided dialogue with him because I felt you couldn't have a paragon bro-mance without it leading to unintentional flirting. Dorian (my fav. DA:I companion) was way more upfront about it yet the game still offered the flirt option even after cementing a relationship with one of the others.. which was irritating.

Yeah same, Dorian ended up being my favorite character in Inquisition. In ME3 you just couldn't be nice with Cortez without leading to some degree of flirtiness which was a bit annoying when I tried to play a heterosexual character. And the scene with Kaidan kinda doing a full advance on you even though you never give him the time of day on the matter was awkward AF.

Glad FemShep didn’t have that problem with Cortez, after that nonsense with Jacob. As for Kaidan, I always locked in someone else before his meetup. He automatically goes to alternate dialogue when you do.

I still like ME1, even though it has really rubbish combat mechanics that can be easily broken. The atmosphere of the game is just so right, from the art design to the sense of exploration and humanity finding its place in the stars. It's a shame the game went so humancentric in the later instalments, I liked the sense of just being the new kids on the block. It also had so much promise as a setting for endless games set within it, it's a shame they brought the Reapers in to be frank. Plus Renegon Femshep is just the best.

that scene i supposed to be awkward. what 's wrong with this scene. All of my friends laughed their ass off in this one . The non-charitable explanation is that people can't handle their PC being awkward. They need the PC to be a Mary Sue because it's all the affirmation they get in this world. I don't know what the charitable explanation would be.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but my issue with the this scene is that no where else in the game did Sara act this way, no other interaction with Suvi did she act like this. If she had been going around the ship asking Vetra, Cora, the other females about asking someone out, then fine. Been awkward in other scenes, fine. But she didn't act this way anywhere else. Since I romanced Suvi, I didn't see any of Sara's romance scenes, but I'm going to go out a limb and say it didn't look like her first time. They just threw this in for this one scene for the sake of a laugh, but it just came across and crony, out of place and character to me.

Yeah, the scene was weird because even though Ryder is supposed to be 22 the scene felt more appropriate for a 14 year old telling her first crush that she like her.

I find it slightly amusing how much flak that suvi flirt thing gets. Probably linked to the Shepard as god crowd. We want to do everything badassily even seduce the women.

Nice strawman you have there, wonder what it has to do with anything...wait are you using a strawman as a strawman for my argument rather then dealing with my argument? Curious strategy.

It looked like something out of Girls to me. (Maybe because I'm older? Twentysomethings don't look all that mature to me.) cypherj's point makes sense. Tonal consistency is a problem with different writers handling the scenes, and I don't think ME:A's team handled this all that well. OTOH, Ryder's awfully goofy with Peebee too. Liam and Cora, not so much . (Haven't seen any others myself.)

It just shows the lack of creativity now and days. When you want to make a quick dollar, put out a remake. For me, it depends on how a remake is done. I like Pokémon's remakes because they do more than just update the graphics for the old games: they add new features, update the combat system, add more content to or otherwise improve the story and try to improve upon what was criticized. You're not just buying a prettier version of an game: you're buying a significantly improved version of the old game that feels like a new game in good ways and like the old game in the right ways. It also helps that GameFreak don't just rely on remakes: before each remake, there's a new game. I guess the difference to me is how much effort is put into a remake. If the remake of the trilogy would just be a graphically prettier version with improved combat then I'd only be interested in buying a remake of the first installment but if they tried to do something like GameFreak does with its remakes like add content, improve story and so on then I might be more interested. I already have the trilogy and it doesn't look dated enough for me to be interested in a remaster or remake because of a graphical update. There needs to be more to it for me to consider it worth a purchase.

Anyways, I don't think there was one moment that marks "where ME went wrong" Even, ME3's harshest detractors, and I'm proud to consider myself one, will admit it had sections where the magic was still there. I think it instead was a more gradual progression of the issues that eventually all climaxed in MEA. Sadly I think the "point of no return" was the DLC cycle in ME2. For me, it actually climaxed in ME3. It felt like all the issues that were present in the previous games became so... constant that I could no longer ignore them. It became too intrusive to my enjoyment. Things like Shepard's odd characterization, the lack of direction or consistent focus, the questionable plot and the overreliance on emotional storytelling without properly setting up emotional investment. All of the issues that had been brewing throughout the trilogy finally came to a boil that spilled over.

Please EA trilogy remaster with overhauled gameplay and i'll forgive you for Andromeda. No bullshit either like adding on to the story or changing voice actors! Don't do it. I'd pay just for ME3's default femshep in the first two games.
