Interesting. If they manage to improve the combat from their past games, I'd be interested.

Mars Warlogs was very rough around the edges and the writing was not only bad but suffered from poor translation issues. Not saying the studio lacks ambition but I hope they've improved since then.

I have not played MWL (yet), but between Bound by Flames and Technomancer, the improvements in both combat and editing of the texts are noticeable. However, the Technomancer still suffers from editing mishaps, but less so than from the quest design that makes you cross the same two areas far too many times. but, at least the Technomancer does not have anything like the direst warning I've received from one of the companions in the Bound by Flames: "With friends like that, who needs enemas!" That's one way to exorcise a demon, I suppose. However, what the Technomancer and BBF lack in editing (and for me it is actually editing rather than writing itself, I like their dialogues overall), they more than make up imo in the incredible visuals, because their artwork is actually truly artistic, rather than an attempt to render realistic 3D. And, well, plots and ideas that are unusual. Anyway, if the Greedfall improves on Technomancer as much as Tehcnomancer improved on the Bound By Flames in most areas, I am going be dancing with joy.

New trailer today, still no release date OH MAKER, is it time for it's own thread already? I nearly want this game as much as I want DA4. Ok, lied. I froth for DA4, but I am quite excited for Greedfall!

I froth for DA4, but I am quite excited for Greedfall! Well, why not? It is easier to search for than the “games you anticipate” and I am keeping fingers crossed that we’ll see other teasers soon. Like companions introductions.

I’m interested, if they really do manage to improve over Technomancer, but I’m wary.

I’m interested, if they really do manage to improve over Technomancer, but I’m wary. I'd say thats a good attitude to have. Every review I watched on technomancer said that the combat was so similar to MWL, that it really wasn't that much of an improvement (if it improved at all).

It is a dramatic improvement over the Bound by Flame.... Anyways, I watched the trailer and the creatures look nice, as always with Spiders.

I always keep an eye on spiders games. I've gotten enjoyment out of each one so far. Though after technomancer I do hope they have cut down the backtracking, or at least have a solid fast travel system in place.
Also this setting sounds pretty interesting, so looking forward to seeing what they do with it

But won’t hurt to ask about backtracking and fast travel and quest auto completion.

Though, I didn't like the changes for the stealth mode in TT (it was more realistic than in the previous two games). Agreed about backtracking. I guess, it felt worse in TT, because it was the first game where the player could return to all previously visited areas, so it made sense to add quests to motivate the player to do so. But without a fast-travel system running through the Underworks became repetitive by the end of chapter 2.

They need to refine a lot of things, but I've liked all of their games...kind of a (clumsy) cross over between Bioware/CDPR. Also it's better to focus on one IP, build your rep/skills, improve with sequels, than jump from one IP to next. I’m interested, if they really do manage to improve over Technomancer, but I’m wary. They suffer from same core issues as Piranha Bytes games ( though with lot better animations/sounds/etc)...it lacks clear sense of "rhythm", throw multiple of enemies at same time that poorly telegraph attacks and can easily stun lock you.

I have to say that one thing that I LOVE about Spiders is that they have a new IP for every game. I am not big on more than 2 games in one setting.

I recieved an answer from Spiders’ staff that responds on their main forum in regards to backtracking/remote communications in Greedfall. The response is along the lines that they tried to implement more quick travel, and cluster the sidequests around the main missions to cut back on the backtracking, but essentially you will be required to return to the questgivers bodily. No letters/mounts were promised so far.

No letters/mounts were promised so far. I guess the problem was, with the side quests for me, is that I knew I couldn't do side quests concurrently with the main quests because the main quest ALWAYS moved forward the main story line. They did give warnings "hey, what you're about to do will block these side quests from completion so be careful." but... It got kinda cyclical, where I wouldn't touch the main story quests unless my side quests were done.

Female or Male CC (don't know how good) 3rd person all the way Equipment changing ~~ Specifically better hats than Bioware has ever made! Looks like a big skill tree with interconnected bits, reminds me of TW3 14 kinds of weapons Magic Companions who may leave or betray you! Romances have been confirmed for a while, but no deets yet. Reputation and Factions Charisma option (or check?) Bribe Stealth Sounds and looks WAY better than Cyberpunk right now! Just wish they'd given a release date.

Sounds and looks WAY better than Cyberpunk right now! Just wish they'd given a release date. This has been a surprisingly good E3 for AAA RPGs. Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield (not a fan of Bethesda, but a lot of people are), and now this. It's like some sort of karmic balance for Anthem. Is this what having options feels like? It's pretty great.
