This is a MET version of the DAI game being played here. If you've ever played Mafia or Werewolf at a party, then you are familiar with this type of game. The villains work at night to "kill" heroes, while the heroes work during the day to discover and eliminate the villains by voting them off. The villains win if they manage to eliminate all of the heroes, while the heroes win if they manage to catch all the villains before all heroes are eliminated.
Scenario
It is the year 2186. The Normandy is berthed at the Citadel for repairs, and the crew is off on shore leave. Unfortunately for the crew, I don't intend to let them relax or enjoy themselves. Shepard gets a late night vidcall alleging that Cerberus agents have infiltrated the crew, and calls everyone back to investigate.
**Rules note: In this version of the game, hinting is allowed and the villains are given one of the roles to play. These characters have been indoctrinated before the start of the game and are now Cerberus agents. For some roles, this results in a change to their ability, which is noted in the role descriptions below.
Standard Edition Roles
NPC Edition Roles
Feron
Feron is a drell information trader that was hired by Liara to help get Shepard -who is dead- from the Shadow Broker. Feron is also employed by the Shadow Broker during this time, but ends up leaving The Shadow Broker and his deal with the Collectors in order to help Liara. In turn, the Shadow Broker decides to punish Feron by capturing and torturing him. Eventually Liara and Shepard rescues Feron from the Shadow Broker during the events of the Lair of The Shadow Broker DLC.
As an information trader, Feron is capable of acquiring intel of just about anyone. Every night, Feron will receive information about the player of their choosing to discover whether they are an agent or not. Should they successfully acquire information about an agent and vote them off the next day, Feron will gain the ability to bug the spies, which will allow Feron to gain a hint regarding one of the remaining spy's role.
Mouse
As a kid, Mouse was a homeless human child that traveled in the air ducts, or ventilation system throughout the Citadel. He would often give Thane information about his assassaniation targets with his experience as quiet child in the ducts and shadows. Mouse as an adult lives within the Zakera Ward of the Citadel and has ample expertise in tracking numerous targets. Shepard meets Mouse as an adult while helping Thane track his son, Kolyat, down.
Your experience from childhood has granted you the ability to stalk your targets without getting caught. Every night, Mouse can track a player to see who they visited during the same night. As an investigative role Mouse is always Good, and will not be in the same game as Feron.
(Tip: Mouse is capable of catching spies if he so happens to stalk one of them during the night. However, he needs to pay attention to who dies in the narrative in order to deduce whether the person he stalked is a spy. With this ability, Mouse is also capable of figuring out protective, killing, or role blocking roles depending on if they successfully used their ability while Mouse while was tracking them. )
Dr. Chloe Michel
Dr. Michel is a human who works within the Med Clinic in the Wards of the Citadel. Coming from two parents that were medics within the Alliance, Michel ultimately decided to follow in their footsteps as an adult. However, Michel prefers to work within a practice rather than in the military branch. This lead her into opening her Med Clinic. In the past Michel was also fired from another practice she was in employed in for giving her patients medical supplies for free. Shepard crossed paths with Dr. Michel while looking for Garrus. Michel also aided an injured Tali who was shot due to intel she had received that involved Saren and his involvement with the Attack on Eden Prime and the Reapers. During the events of Mass Effect 3 she can also join Shepard's crew.
Michel is also widely known to have a bit of a crush on Garrus.
Dr. Michel's experience as a doctor has granted her the valuable skill of healing. Each night, Dr. Michel can choose to protect a player by healing them. She cannot heal the same person consecutively, but is allowed to self heal once per game. If Dr. Michel is Evil However, once per game she will have the ability to poison a player instead of her self heal ability. Should the player become poisoned, they will die the next night.
Kal'Reegar
Kal'Reegar is a male quarian who is apart of a squad of marines for the Migrant Fleet. He is specifically tasked to protect Tali during the events of Haestrom during Mass Effect 2. During Haestorm, not only is Reegar willing to distract a fully armored Geth Colossus in order to help Shepard and Tali, but he also gives tactical advice to Shepard regarding how to take on the Geth. Kal' Reegar also believes that the quarians going to war with the geth will do more harm than good when asked, but will be able to carry on his military duties should he be ordered to.
As a seasoned marine, Kal'Reegar is well suited in watching a person's six. Every night, Reegar can choose to protect a player. He is free to protect the same player throughout multiple nights, but he will not be able to protect himself.
Nyreen Kandros
Nyreen is a female turian and leader of the Talons mercenary group. Nyreen came from a military background, but had to eventually leave her roots when she first discovered her biotic abilities. This eventually lead her into becoming a mercenary and being drawn to Omega. She was eventually drawn to Aria as well, but their relationship fizzled due to differences. Even as a mercenary, Nyreen always had a moral compass on her shoulders, while Aria did not. Her strong morals eventually lead Nyreen into becoming leader of the Talons and reshaping them into fighting Cerberus and protecting civilians when Cerberus took over Omega in Mass Effect 3.
With weapons and biotic abilities in tow, Nyreen is not afraid of taking down people who she deems as a threat, either to the innocents or to the agents. Once per game, Nyreen can choose a player to eliminate during the night.
Aria T'Loak
Aria is a centuries old Asari biotic that rules the asteroid station of Omega with an iron fist. With this in mind, Aria is a rather ruthless character, especially compared to her former flame Nyreen or a Paragon Shepard. Aria is definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty and has an array of connections and resources for her to utilize as she wishes. Her most famous lines out the trilogy is "I Am Omega" and "Don't F*** With Aria" Her run ins with more prominent characters in the trilogy include Shepard,Liara, Mordin, and possibly Wrex.
As Omega's crime lord, Aria has unlimited resources at her disposal. Once per game, she can choose to use or mimic any ability in the game. This includes roles from the previous games and even in the Skyhold/Wolf Hunt games.
Morinth
Morinth is a centuries old asari and daughter of Samara. She is also an Ardat-Yakshi, which means she has a genetic condition in which she kills the mates she chooses to bond/meld with. After the deadly melding, most Ardat-Yakshi get an rush of euphoria that could lead to a dangerous habit. Unlike her sisters, Morinth did not want to stay in a monastery to prevent from killing people. Morinth actually enjoys melding with her mates, which has eventually lead to Samara becoming a justicar in order to stop her. Morinth also has the power to persuade and control most people to do as she pleases.
Twice per game, Morinth can choose a person she wants to control. If the control is successful, she can then persuade her controlled person to use their ability either on another player or herself. Morinth is a Neutral Evil role, which means she will not be in the agent chat, but must work with the spies in order for her to win. Morinth wins if all Heroes are eliminated.
Captain Kirrahe
Kirrahe is a salarian military officer who is a part of a covert operations force that is called the Special Tasks Group (STG). Shepard first meets this character during the events of Virmire, where he and his force were assigned to investigate the planet. Kirrahe is charismatic leader that inspires his group and Shepard's to "hold the line" and make any noted sacrifices if necessary. Kirrahe has also worked with Mordin in the past regarding the genophage, but they have not always met eye to eye. Mordin specifically has called him "a bit of a cloaca" (a salarians' butt and private regions). Nevertheless, both characters actually respect one another a great deal.
Emily Wong
The Investigative Reporter. You are willing to do nearly anything to get to the truth, even if it kills you. Should you be eliminated at night, the role and player name of one of your enemies will be publicly revealed. The revealed player will be randomly chosen from the list of players who are on the opposing side.
Matriarch Aethyta
Aethyta is a thousand year old asari who works as a bartender in an Illium bar. Her father was a krogan that fought in the Rachni Wars and the Krogan Rebellions. Her mother on the other hand, was an asari commando that fought on the other side of the Krogan Rebellions. Needless to say, when they both find out about each other pasts, it did not end well for both of Aethyta's parents. Throughout her life and unlike her matriarch counter parts, Aethyta has an easy going disposition and outlook. However, despite her nature, she does support the idea of young asari contributing a bit more to society and even proposed an idea that the asari should try to build new mass relays. This was dismissed however, which lead to Aethya leaving the home planet, Thessia and living the rest of her days in Illium. Aethyta is also a former flame of Matriarch Benezia which lead to both of them being the parents of Liara. Shepard meets Liara's other parent and Conrad Verner at the same Illium bar, Eternity.
As a matriarch and half krogan, Aethyta will not go down without slapping a couple of singularities along the way. Should Aethyta get voted off during the day, she can take down another player of her choice.
Captain Bailey
Captain Bailey is middle aged human C-sec captain. Although C-Sec was once dominated by turians, after the Battle of The Citadel, humans such as Bailey were hired and promoted due to loss of C-sec officers. As a Captain, Bailey is not afraid to get a little dirty in order to keep the peace in the Citadel, even if it means roughly interrogating suspects or making deals with criminals. Because of this mindset of Bailey's, he is rather pragmatic and a bit grey morality wise.
Once per Game Captain Bailey can choose a player to interrogate. While in interrogation, Bailey is allowed to demand answers from the player and arrest them. Should Bailey wrongfully arrest a Hero however, he will be put On Leave from the remainder of the game while the Hero is free to go. Captain Bailey is Always Good.
Niftu Cal
Niftu Cal is a volus that was a part of a trade group within Illium. Some of the merchandise he would so often trade with mercenary groups, like the Eclipse Sisters, were biotic enhancing drugs. When Shepard meets Niftu Cal, he has consumed a great deal of his own product and has declared himself a "Biotic God", thus the Super Volus was born.
Once per game Niftu Cal can use his awe-inspiring biotic abilities to protect one player from indoctrination. Should Cal be Evil, he will be allowed to block the investigative role's results by distracting them with his Superior Powers.
Glyph
Glyph is a V.I. drone made to specifically serve and assist the Shadow Broker. When Liara takes the helm, he eventually becomes her assist V.I. drone. Glyph will also eventually help Shepard the best they can during the events of the Citadel DLC, one of which is helping Shepard organize and throw their party.
Twice per game, Glyph can distract a player by inviting them to one of their parties . The player will then be forced to go and cannot use their ability while partying it up with Glyph.
Oriana Lawson
Oriana Lawson is human and Miranda's sister. She was genetically engineered by Henry Lawson when Miranda was in her adolescence. Henry Lawson wanted to replace Miranda as his ideal genetic heir. When Miranda learns of this plan, she finally rebels and runs away, taking Oriana with her. Afterwards, Miranda contacts Cerberus for protection and to place Oriana for adoption. Oriana later becomes adopted, never realizing her origins until Miranda possibly contacts her later into her life.
Once per game Oriana is allowed to activate her sister's device. Once she does so, she will be able to protect every player from indoctrination. If she is Evil However, she will be able to protect herself from night killing roles.
Charr
Charr is a sensitive krogan with a love for poetry. He resides in Illium and is in love with his asari girlfriend, Ereba. He regularly recites poetry to his girlfriend in order to prove to her that he's in their relationship for the right reasons. If Shepard convinces Ereba to rekindle their romance, Shepard can see them again in Tuchanka, where Charr successfully persuades her into staying at his home planet.
Charr's beautiful words of poetry have massive weight of the hearts of many. During the first night, Char will choose a player to be infatuated with. Afterwards, he must try to keep his crush alive for the entire game. Charr is allowed an ability to help with this goal, which is to use his words of poetry to sway the vote against another player other than his crush. Char is Good or Evil depending on the alignment of the player he chooses to be infatuated with.
Conrad Verner
Once per game he is allowed to admire one player. After this, he knows the role and alignment of this player. Should the player die during the day or night, Conrad assumes the role of the admired player for the remainder of the game. Conrad cannot vote for the admired player during the day.
Gianna Parasini
Gianna is a human Internal Affairs agent that crosses paths with Shepard in Noveria. She works undercover as Anoleis's secretary to investigate the corrupt bureaucrat that is also in charge of Port Hanshan. This is the very same port that Shepard wishes to leave via a garage pass. Shepard has the option in the first game to work with Parasini in finally providing enough evidence to arrest Anoleis. In doing so, Shepard earns the coveted garage pass. In the second game, Gianna can make an appearance in Illium, this time inviting Shepard for a beer and asking for their help in arresting an asari smuggler.
As a skilled agent, Gianna knows a thing or two in finding the truth. Once per game, Parasini may choose a player to press. Once pressed, the player will not be able to lie while hinting or questioned during the day. And if questioned, the player has to answer each question.
Khalisah al-Jilani: Khalisah is a sensationalist human news reporter that resides in the Citadel. In all three games, Khalisah will try to get an interview with Shepard, making sure to try to cast Shepard in a rather negative light. In the third game however, considering the dire nature of the Reaper threat, Khalisah slighty grows out of her hostile ways as a reporter.
As a sensationalist news reporter, Khalisah al-Jilani is willing to get her story no matter the cost. Once per game, Khalisah will choose one player to target. It is then al-Jilani's job to get their target voted off during the day no matter what. Khalisah does not have to vote for their target every round. Khalisah wins when they get their target voted off. Like Morinth, Khalisah is also a Neutral Evil role (Slightly less Evil than Morinth though, since it's possible they can target a spy).

Liara T'Soni - The Asari Scientist -
Before Liara became the ShadowBroker, she was a researcher who had spent most of her young adult life researching Prothean culture, technology and their demise. Each night, you may research one player to determine whether or not they are indoctrinated. Liara is guaranteed to be a hero.
Wrex - The Krogan BattleMaster -
Before Wrex was the leader of Clan Urdnot, he was an infamous mercenary, bounty hunter, and bodyguard extraordinaire. Should you be arrested/voted out during the day, you will enter a blood rage and start a brawl with any other player of your choice. You will both be arrested and eliminated from the game.
Kaidan Alenko - The Sentinel -
Before possibly surviving Virmire, Kaidan was a Systems Alliance Marine and Staff Lieutenant under the Normandy. Should you be indoctrinated or killed, others will be so inspired by your bravery that your vote will still carry weight after your death. During voting on the first day cycle after your elimination, you will be allowed to cast a vote to eliminate the next player, just as if you were still in the game.
Garrus Vakarian - The Turian Agent -
Before Garrus became Archangel, he was a a C-sec officer. Specifically, he was apart of the Investigation Division in C-Sec, where he investigated Saren. Once per game, you may choose to shoot someone during the night cycle. This will eliminate that player from the game.
Ashley Williams - The Soldier -
Before Ashley possibly became the Second Human Spectre, she served as Gunnery Chief on Eden Prime, and later served under Shepard. Every night, Ashley can choose to protect a player. She is free to protect the same player throughout multiple nights, but she will not be able to protect herself.
Tali'Zorah nar Rayya - The Quarian Machinist -
Before Tali possibly became a member of the Admiralty Board, she was a young quarian machinist who was in the middle of her Pilgrimage. Once per game during a day round, you may protect someone from being voted off. You may not protect yourself. PM the Game Master to use this ability.
Dr. Karin Chakwas - The Medic -
Chakwas will do everything to save a patient, even if she's barely holding on herself. Upon nighttime elimination (either indoctrinated or shot by Garrus) You will be able to bring back one player who had previously been eliminated. If that player had any abilities remaining, they will be allowed to use those abilities as usual.
Emily Wong - The Investigative Reporter -
Emily is willing to do nearly anything to get to the truth, even if it kills her. Should you be eliminated at night, the role and player name of one of your enemies will be publicly revealed. The revealed player will be randomly chosen from the list of players who are on the opposing side.
Conrad Verner - Original Version - The Superfan -
Once per game, Conrad may mimic the ability of another player by providing the GM with the name and role of the target. If correct, he will then gain the ability of that role. The true player of that role does NOT lose their ability. Conrad's blind hero worship makes him a target for the bad guys, and thus the role may ONLY be given to the indoctrinated. He may not mimic the ability of a fellow agent, and he may not mimic the role of a player that has no evil version (Liara). Further info about this role is at the front of the page.
Gianna Parasini - The Human Internal Affairs Agent -
As a skilled agent, Gianna knows a thing or two in finding the truth. Once per game, Parasini may choose a player to press. Once pressed, the player will not be able to lie while hinting or questioned during the day. And if questioned, the player has to answer each question.
Captain Kirrahe - The Military Officer -
Once per game, Kirrahe can make an attempt to covertly communicate with another Hero through PM. However, he will have to be right about the selected player's alignment and role. If he is wrong, he will be caught by the agents and indoctrinated. This will result in him joining the indoctrinated ranks as a protective role, which allows him to protect one of his accomplices once per game.

Lightning Round Rules
The rules are pretty straightforward: Every day/voting round, you will only have five days until the round is over, with only one extension being available throughout this whole game. So request wisely! I will also try to speed up my nightly duties-while being careful of course- as GM to keep in spirit.
Standard Edition Roles
Cerberus Agents
2-4 of the players will begin each game as the "evil" version of their character. These characters have been indoctrinated before the game begins, unbeknownst to Shepard. Each night, you will work together to attempt to indoctrinate one other player. Indoctrinated players are removed from the game (unless saved by Miranda), except for indoctrinated EDI.
Garrus Vakarian
The Vigilante. Once per game, you may choose to shoot someone during the night cycle. This will eliminate that player from the game. Should you and Javik use your ability on the same night, Javik's will take precedence and you will get to re-use your ability on a different night.
Liara T'Soni
The Shadowbroker. Each night, you may research one player to determine whether or not they are a Cerberus operative. You may use your findings to provide clues to the other players, but you may not explicitly state anything you have found out. Should Javik be indoctrinated or arrested, you will be so heartbroken at losing your specimen that you skip using your special power the next night. Liara is guaranteed to be a hero.
Javik
The Last Living Prothean. Once per game during the night cycle, Javik may choose to complain to the crew about how primitive this cycle is. The Cerberus agents get so drunk out of sheer boredom that they pass out and fail to indoctrinate anyone that night. All other nighttime abilities will be neutralized that night as well. However, the next night, the Cerberus agents will make up for lost time by claiming two victims. (Other roles do NOT get an extra chance to use their ability.) Should you be indoctrinated or arrested, Liara will be so depressed that she will forgo using her special power the next night.
Miranda Lawson
The Lazarus Project Scientist. Once per game, you may choose to save the role indoctrinated by Cerberus that night. You will not be told which player you are saving. You can use this ability to save yourself. Should you and Javik use your ability on the same night, Javik's will take precedence and you will get to re-use your ability on a different night.
Wrex
The Krogan Warlord. Should you be arrested during the day, you will enter a blood rage and start a brawl with any other player of your choice. You will both be arrested and eliminated from the game.
Diana Allers
The Reporter. Each night, you will be provided with a randomly-selected player name (not your own). Because your viewers demand news, you must keep the action alive for them. Throughout the following day cycle, you will be required to try to convince other players to vote to eliminate the randomly-selected player. You must also vote for that player's elimination during voting.
EDI
The Normandy's AI. You start the game as a hero. Should Cerberus attempt to indoctrinate you on night 1 or 2, you will not be eliminated from the game. Instead, you will be told the identities of the Cerberus agents and must work to protect them from player wrath during the day. You may not vote for either Cerberus agent during the day cycle once indoctrinated. Indoctrinated EDI wins with the Cerberus agents, once all other players are eliminated.
However, on night 3, EDI can no longer be turned, but instead gains the ability to sacrifice herself for another player. On the night she activates her ability, the player targeted by Cerberus will be saved, and EDI will be eliminated in their place. On a double elimination night, the saved player will be determined randomly. She can only sacrifice herself for players turned by Cerberus, not those shot by Garrus, or due to Jack failing an interrogation. Should the Cerberus indoctrination fail that night for any other reason, EDI will remain in play and may use her ability another night.
If targeted by Cerberus on night 3 or later, she may be eliminated or saved just as any other player would be.
Tali'Zorah vas Normandy
The Quarian Engineer. Once per game during a day round, you may protect someone from being voted off. You may not protect yourself. PM the Game Master to use this ability.
Legion
The Geth Platform. It may take you some time to build a consensus, but once you do, your word is convincing. Once per game, you may change all votes for elimination to the player of your choice. PM the game master to activate this ability.
Kaidan Alenko/Ashley Williams
The Virmire Survivor. The player assigned to this role gets to choose whether to be Kaidan or Ashley. Should you be indoctrinated or killed, others will be so inspired by your bravery that your vote will still carry weight after your death. During voting on the first day cycle after your elimination, you will be allowed to cast a vote to eliminate the next player, just as if you were still in the game. Activate this ability by PMing the game master.
Kasumi Goto
The Enigmatic Thief. Once per game, Kasumi may cloak herself and go snooping at your not-so-friendly local Cerberus office. She will learn the role being attacked by Cerberus that night. If she correctly tells the GM which player has this role, then Kasumi's warning will cause the player to escape indoctrination that night. You cannot save yourself with this ability. Kasumi who begins the game as evil may instead use her ability once per game to block Liara.
Jack
Subject Zero. Once per game, Jack may interrogate another player overnight who she suspects of working for Cerberus. If she is correct, the player is eliminated. If she is wrong, she is eliminated instead. Jack cannot be evil.
Karin Chakwas
The Medic. Chakwas will do everything to save a patient, even if she's barely holding on herself. Upon nighttime elimination (either indoctrinated, shot by Garrus, or interrogated by Jack) You will be able to bring back one player who had previously been eliminated. If that player had any abilities remaining, they will be allowed to use those abilities as usual.
Emily Wong
The Investigative Reporter. You are willing to do nearly anything to get to the truth, even if it kills you. Should you be eliminated at night, the role and player name of one of your enemies will be publicly revealed. The revealed player will be randomly chosen from the list of players who are on the opposing side.
Mordin
The Scientist Salarian. Mordin has figured out how to offer temporary protection from indoctrination. Each night, he will hand out a protection device to one player of his choice. The recipient may activate the device on any subsequent night (not the night on which it is given). Activating the device will protect a hero from indoctrination on that night. A Cerberus agent who receives a device will instead be able to indoctrinate two players on any subsequent night. Each player may receive only one protection device. The device MUST be activated on the night that the hero is attacked in order to protect the hero.
Grunt
The Tank-Bred Krogan. Grunt may protect one player per night, but must name the player (unlike Miranda). He cannot protect the same player twice in a row. He may protect himself once per game. An evil Grunt who chooses to protect himself will be protected from Garrus should he attack that same night.
Conrad Verner - The Superfan
Having become disillusioned with Shepard when they chastised him for pretending to be an N7, Conrad must find a new object of worship. Once per game, Conrad may mimic the ability of another player by providing the GM with the name and role of the target. If correct, he will then gain the ability of that role. The true player of that role does NOT lose their ability.
The Evil Clone
The Cerberus Science Project. The Evil Clone begins the game as a neutral character, and is able to help or hurt either side. Once you are ready to take over a character's identity, you must declare your intent to the GM and wait for the character to be eliminated. You may change your mind throughout the game. If you successfully take over a role, you may also declare your support for one side of the game or the other. Only the GM will know your choice, but you must behave in accordance to the side you chose.
Evil clone Miranda will only be able to save herself from indoctrination, should she activate her ability on the correct night.
Evil clone Liara's ability will activate as usual, though she may use it to discover who the Cerberus agents are in order to aid them and lead the heros astray.
Evil clone Kasumi doesn't get to use Kasumi's special ability. Instead, Evil Kasumi will learn who the Cerberus agents are so that she may aid them.

- Conrad's blind hero worship makes him a target for Cerberus recruitment, and thus the role may ONLY be given to a Cerberus agent.
- If Conrad is one of the spies, then there will only be two total spies for fewer than 10 players. For a greater number of players, Conrad could be one of three or more spies.
- If Conrad guesses the role/player combo wrong the first time, he may have one more attempt. This is to prevent landing on a powerful role by guessing blindly.
- Conrad must contact the GM with his role/player request before that player is eliminated. He may still use the mimicked ability after the original player is eliminated, as long as he claimed it before their elimination.
- He and Mordin may not both be present in the same game.
- He may not mimic the ability of a fellow agent.
- He may not mimic the ability of a role that has no evil version (Liara or Jack).
- If he mimics a role with a re-usable ability, such as Grunt, he may continue to use the ability each night, or may choose to skip the ability on some nights, as desired. Stalkers and creepers set their own hours.
- Certain competing abilities, for example, Conrad Legion and Good Legion both trying to act during the same day round, will be decided randomly if the results would be contradictory. Otherwise, both abilities would be used as usual.

(Tip: Mouse is capable of catching spies if he so happens to stalk one of them during the night. However, he needs to pay attention to who dies in the narrative in order to deduce whether the person he stalked is a spy. With this ability, Mouse is also capable of figuring out protective, killing, or role blocking roles depending on if they successfully used their ability while Mouse while was tracking them. )

Mordin specifically has called him "a bit of a cloaca" (a salarians' butt and private regions). Nevertheless, both characters actually respect one another a great deal.
If you wish to activate Kirrahe's ability, please contact the GM in order for them to set up the chat.
Emily Wong
The Investigative Reporter. You are willing to do nearly anything to get to the truth, even if it kills you.
