Ha! Did you use Adrenaline Module 3? With that, she can avoid lots of damage just by strafing. For someone not sure if they can facetank Gold with a level 1 kit, I recommend ACA Particle Rifle with Warp Ammo IV, Stronghold Package, AR Amp and Shield Amp. One point in Dark Channel and one in passives for the weapon bonus. Use his dodge and soft cover, and you will easily topscore in most PuG lobbies. Keeping with the level 1 Adepts my favorite one is: Human Adept, Claymore, 1 point in Warp the other in Singularity, APIII, Geth Scanner (bc I'm a scrub), Cyclonic II, and Targeting VI. If you shoot everything in the face you don't really have to worry about anything other than bosses. The human dodge is so good too; it's not as sexy as the Asari slide or Drell flips, but it's quick and lets you avoid some crazy shit and get out of bad situations. I think I have yet to see a lvl 1-Claymore HAdept, but it does sound very interesting, might give it a try next time I promote the class; incidentally, I too am a big fan of the basic human dodge  ; ahead (though barely) of the asari and vorcha ones, and behind only the three teleporting ones, Fury/Slayer being my absolute favourites. I have, on the other hand, had the pleasure of seeing Qui-Gon GlenN7's lvl 1 ACA go to work, and it is every bit as good as advertised! My personal recommendation, for maximum level 1 swagger, is the Arc Pistol Volus Adept, one point in stasis, one point in shield boost Incredible survival - shield boost is a great panic button even at level 1, plus his HM-bubble and the two cloaks are independent from level - paired with a hard counter to all mooks, plus one of the best guns in the game. Shed aggro, be aggressive, headshot everything. Voluses (engineer excluded) are, IMO, the least level-dependant kits in the game, they have so many great innate tools; guaranteed to end up surprising pugs! (optionally, you can also shield boost-lock the guns of those pugs who cannot accept being outscored by a level 1 kit, and begin straying from the path of proper contract-fulfillment  ). |

My go to level 1 gold kits are the Jug, the 4 Volus, and the GI. I still have a bunch of scoreboard screenshots of the last time I was power leveling my N7, they're not all top places but I had a few. Mostly it's just good guns and high level consumables/mods/gear.

Slap a Cyclonic and some decent level ammo (not explosive though) with good gun and you'll be toping charts @ lvl 1 no problem with most PUGS. Like maybe you won't outscore them 3-4x as you normally would, but still.

Slap a Cyclonic and some decent level ammo (not explosive though) with good gun and you'll be toping charts @ lvl 1 no problem with most PUGS. Like maybe you won't outscore them 3-4x as you normally would, but still. Also kill mooks and captains, especially captains. You can usually kill a decent amount of them before a Banshee or Atlas. PUGs seem to like going after bosses, but the points and speed are in the captain level enemies. |

They seem to focus on the bosses and lose situational awareness and get gunned down by troopers. So taking care of lowlife scum, while PUGS chip at the bosses also protects them from dying. |
