There was a liverstream today. SKipped ahead t when they actually started answering questions: Not sure I like teh new Aribeth model. She's kinda...blonde... I love it, and they're probably going to convince quite a few more new people to give the game a try by updating the character models so that they don't look, well, horrible. The NWN graphics have aged much, much worse than the ones in the Infinity engine games. Oh, I'm not opposed to the updating per se. I'm just a bit ambivalent about using the update to outright change character appearances. |

I love it, and they're probably going to convince quite a few more new people to give the game a try by updating the character models so that they don't look, well, horrible. The NWN graphics have aged much, much worse than the ones in the Infinity engine games. Oh, I'm not opposed to the updating per se. I'm just a bit ambivalent about using the update to outright change character appearances. Well, they did say you can just choose to toggle it off and play with the original character models instead of the updated ones |

But if you have the original mods, they should work with EE, according to the FAQ:
Will I retain ownership of the premium modules I purchased from BioWare?
If you already have the premium modules (Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, Pirates of the Sword Coast, or Infinite Dungeons), they will function properly in Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. |

Did anyone else end up getting this? I'm trying to play it now, and the amount of stuttering is ridiculous. It's unplayable, and yet there is no reason it shouldn't play smoothly. I have a decent machine (DAI, Witcher 3, and MEA all look great), and the game does appear to be running off my graphics card and not my integrated graphics card, but the framerate is horrendous. WTF.

Maybe in a few months, after more of the improvements are actually in the game, I'll try buying it directly from Beamdog and see what happens. |

So yeah what are peoples opinions on the remaster? Worth it in it's current state for those who have not played the expansions and want to jump into multiplayer? Was really hoping if they were going to remaster it they would give it a graphical overhaul as well, all they seem to have done is up the resolution and charge $20 for it.

The real attraction of NWN was the community participation and content, which you can mostly get with the original NWN (and what little community there is left).
The re-addition of a working multiplayer browser in EE is great, but probably not worth $20.

I'm so torn! I've never play NWN before and I just picked it up from GOG but I'm in the middle of a DA:I run. Do I stop and learn the joys of the NWN universe or finish my first Dorian romance?
