Seriously this is stupid and I know most of you may think I am stupid for upgrading my perfectly good 7700k to a 8700k and ever since I have done that this game will not work well it does, but it is very unplayable. I bought a new motherboard and cpu as I do a lot of multi tasking and some rendering so I thought the 8700k would be more future proof for me. I love the upgrade and all my games are working fine. I have played shadow of war and did the GTA 5 benchmark and was getting around 120fps with msaax2 at 4k max settings. I had MSI afterburner running and my on screen display showed in GTA 5 my cards were at 98% both of them so I am guessing it is working fine my 2 1080ti's in SLI?
Anyway, just this game is unplayable. I have tried vsync off, on and adaptive. With my rig I get unplayable 30 fps and on my old 7700k I was getting amazing performance and it was smooth as max settings even had temperal AA on and all.
When I upgraded my rig all I did was wipe my GPU drivers and reinstall them. Do I need to reinstall windows or something? Install the chipset drivers for my motherboard? Did I do something wrong? Thank you. Why is this game not working and on my other rig it was working perfectly fine? So disappointed. Thanks all and sorry for my horrible english as it is my third language.

Hello guanxi. I have done that and it did make a big improvement, but still it didn't run no where near as good as my old CPU/Motherboard which is very strange. I really appreciate your reply. Looking forward to more replies or assistance.

Looking forward to more replies or assistance. What kind of GPU usage percentages are you getting with benchmarking tools while running ME:A?

I have not tried that yet. But GTA 5 was working perfectly 98% scaling on both cards same as Crysis 3 99% scaling both cards. I will check soon and report back to you. Thanks!

Both cards are at 80% usage well they hover around 75-85% usage. And my cards are cool as hell too full load they only get 60c top one and 45c bottom one on air. What is wrong. Should I try redownloading and reinstalling the game? Thanks.

It is like the game is capped to 30fps or something lol. This is just horrible. My old PC ran this perfectly fine.

I am going to check the video settings again. I play at 4k and my native res is at 4k Vsync is off as Vsync Fast is set to global on Nvidia control panel. I will double check the in game settings. The multi GPU thing is set to quality too as my other build handled quality fine.

Okay this is so weird. No matter what I change my settings to. If I turn AA off, or shadows down my performance is still the same and seems to be locked at 30fps this game only. I dunno what the hell is going on.

What should resolution scale be on? I have custom and it is at 1.00 AFAIK custom resolution scaling is just a more precise way adjusting your screen Resolution between the defaults so 1.00 is native, e.g. 3840x2160, 0.5 is 1440p. Does your FPS stay fixed when you change resolutions? Remembering back to DA:I... if your refresh rate is stuck at 30fps regardless you could try adding these runtime arguments to your game's Shortcut to try forcing 60FPS: 1. Right click on shortcut, select Properties 2. In the Target Directory Box navigate all the way to the end, press the Spacebar and Paste: -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

I just turned res scaling off. I am very worried what is happening. The only thing i can think of is deleting the game and redownloading it. Other games work flawlessly so far.

Still no luck. I guess redownloading and reinstalling the game? Or just delete your settings (probably in documents) and try the orgin verify your game installation game option thingy from the game library to save time. You could have a look in your BIOS settings and see if there's anything in there that the game might not be agreeing with.

Thank you for the 2 new replies. I just redownloaded the game and installed it and going to try it again. I am so excited to play this game and I hope it runs fine. My other computer it worked perfectly and I got up to the snow place (which is still early) on my infiltrator.

Generally I find if I am having graphical issues the first thing I do to try and troubleshoot is to turn off SLI. If the problem persists I look for other problems then for I find that SLI is a big headache when it comes to gaming and some games are very temperamental to it.

You guys are being SILLY. SLI WORKS PEFECTLY in this game. How come I was getting a constant 80+ fps at 4k max settings with TAA and quality thing on my old PC at 4k? I will always have SLI in my PC. I love the looks personally.

Let me confirm: CPU: 7700K---> 8700KRAM: ???? ---> ????Motherboard: ???? ---> ????Graphics card: ???? ---> ????Can you clarify what these items were and what they became?

It is the SLI. Turn it off and report back the results. You had luck with it working on your previous configuration. Your luck has run out after the upgrades.
