Wasn't sure if this was asked already, but i'm curious to know.
Does it really make a noticeable difference in it's survivability that makes it worth taking over 4B for recharge speed.

It does help with it's survival but I've found with dumping everything into health the Remnant VI still just doesn't last that long. Bronze and Silver it's great, Gold it's okay. Platinum... well for me it's pretty useless as it can be shot dead within seconds.
Remnant VI, imho, just isn't that great and proves to be more of a hassle than an asset. The number of times when a teammates VI just strolled into my line of fire and started blocking shots is too high to count. What makes it even worse is that your own VI will do that to you too, while sitting there useless as you tell it to attack something and it just doesn't move.

Lately I have been running recharge speed, close combat module, and detonating missiles (4B, 5B, 6A) to detonate everything that has been primed that is not already dead. This is lots of fun on silver and gold, but Symbolz has it right. On platinum the Remnant VI is DOA.

Wasn't sure if this was asked already, but i'm curious to know. Does it really make a noticeable difference in it's survivability that makes it worth taking over 4B for recharge speed. On Platinum, the VI is key to keeping the salarian architect alive (VI splits the aggro). He doesn't "expedite" his repairs fast enough. Hence, go with recharge speed. 4B for recharge speed, close combat module for the ginourmous health increase, and detonation. If they've ganged up on you, command him to attack "weaker" enemies from the crowd near you. If you do not command him, he will take on the heavy weights or leave your line of sight. When he leaves your line of sight, both of you die (cos, he won't be there to split the aggro). Command VI to attack "weaker" enemy ---> prime with disruptor ---> focus on something else ---> VI will detonate and finish him off. When the gang has thinned down, command him to take on the heavy weights. Hopefully, you will be shooting the heavy weight by then, splitting the aggro so he doesn't get killed. Keeping him alive is a skill that will get better over time. Watch how he interacts with the AI and how they beat him up. WATCH and LEARN. Weaker = Anointeds, Saboteurs, Observers, etc Heavy Weights = Beserkers, Blaze Hydras, etc

I've found with the human architect (whatever?) that the VI lasts quite a long time in Platinum, and I spec recharge speed!

Weaker = Anointeds, Saboteurs, Observers, etc Heavy Weights = Beserkers, Blaze Hydras, etc I actually wanted to know for the SP, but I appreciate everyone's opinion and answers, for answering these kinds of questions. But you have a point, with the remnant VI almost like sharing your own life line in a way, I keep him alive and in turn he keeps me alive. And learning to micro-manage him in what enemies I direct him to kill. I honestly think the remnant VI can survive better in SP than it does in gold or platinum difficulty, although that might be because enemies in gold/plat do more damage than level 132 enemies + insanity. But in the SP he can have higher max health of 3832 and can gain damage reduction up to around 90 potentially due to stuff like defense grid, drack's blood rage and cora's shield boost. Also to both SP and MP (Not sure) somehow powers like energy drain (With team drain) and shield boost keep it alive, when the remnant VI I don't think has any shields.
