Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 and the Deluxe Edition Content for Andromeda are apparently free on Xbox Live, anyone else catch this? Is there a catch, I just saw it said YES PLEASE and started downloading @.@ I don't own the digital versions of ME2/3 and I gave my 360 to my ex so I haven't been able to re-experience them UNTIL NOW

The catch is that you have to be subscribed to Xbox Live, I suppose. And if you ever aren't subscribed, the games go away, I'd bet.

Are you sure this isn't part of EA's Streaming service? The XBL game licences this period don't have anything to do with Mass Effect.

Are you sure this isn't part of EA's Streaming service? The XBL game licences this period don't have anything to do with Mass Effect. I can tell you I don't have EA Access, just saw a post on the Community page of the Dashboard the other day saying something like "Mass Effect 3 final available for download" Posted by Mass Effect Andromeda (to play it backwards compatible before you needed the disk to install" so I was like "WHAAAAAAAAT" searched ME3 on the Market place and found ME3, ME2, and the Deluxe Edition Content pack of Andromeda free to download and didn't question why. On a side note Dead Space 3 was also free, now I don't know if its because the XBL store recognizes that I've played and beaten all these games in the past, or I'm getting a free pass for owning all the DLC for these games or what but I have them digitally now. I don't think they'd do a free weekend or something for this old, and I don't think my buddy that I share my profile with has EA Access as he's cheap, and hasn't really been online lately. All I can say is check and see for yourself if you don't already have these things, I mean what do you got to lose, other than maybe a minute or 2 of your time @.@

I'll have a look.
Edit: I'm seeing Dead Space 3 for $25.99
ME $19.99, ME 2 $25.99 (but indeed is available)
When I checked ME 3 I didn't see a price, but I do own it and have it installed. When I clicked "See Price" it said "offer not available in your region." That could be an error because it doesn't know what to do if I have a physical copy, but it would theoretically allow me to purchase the digital version, regardless. I'd probably have to uninstall it to figure out what's happening.
Are you sure you don't have Xbox Gamepass? It's a Microsoft version of EA's streaming service and works pretty much the same.
Other than forgetting you previously owned the licences (which would be pretty unlikely, I assume) I'm guessing the other possibility is that there is an offer available in your region related to those titles that isn't available in mine.

The price may have rotated out.

I mean it could be, my buddy and I share my account and he might have the Microsoft pass, but that seems unlikely as the game pass "free" offers always have priced under them to buy instead of install as they would otherwise. Might just be my region, what's odd is that for ME2 and Dead Space I had the option to install but if I checked the price it would show that I had to pay despite having the option to just download it for free. Which I found odd, but I'm not going to question free lol
Other than indies and arcades I've never purchased the digital version of a 360 game, which is why I find this situation so puzzling.

It sounds like some weirdness. But hey, worst case scenario is you get to play some games for a while, so gift horse.
