How could you guys, you all tricked me into believing the blue hp bar is called "Shields". In true mass effect lore. There's only "Barrier" (Shields and Barrier) and "Armor". Marauder shields is a lie, should've been called Marauder Barrier instead. Nah, you guys are cool, I was joking. |

That's why it's never a waste of ammo to put down a pesky swarmer with a well placed Javelin or Claymore shot. You hear me teammates? NEVER! There is no such thing as overkill when it comes to swarmers. Underneath their durable shields they probably have an additional barrier and then a thick layer of armor before you can finally hurt their feelings health.
I'm also fairly certain I have seen them use tech armor every now and then.

For anyone who's curious, on how it happened.
I corrected a guy who calls shields "Barrier".
And this guy was like, "nah uhh, it's called "Barrier" because ME1 lore, people who call it shields are lazy lore people."

Indeed, "shields" is considered colloquial: masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Shield#Kinetic_Barriers_.28.22Shields.22.29 P.S. And it's actually "kinetic barriers", not simply "barrier".  |
