When is DA Dreadwolf getting announced?

It’s less about BW and more EA. MEA was a flop and a PR disaster for BW both with dedicated BW/ME fans and general public and while every game developer will have a flop or two given enough time, EA is relatively known for “killing” studios it owns that it believes are under performing. BW has a chance or two with EA since they are still open and working but EA is in the midst of a PR pickle after the sw battlefront 2 controversies. The general negativity surrounding EA and the negativity toward BW (from people upset over MEA, over their streamlining of RPGness, or hysteria over their “agenda”) and the negativity toward Destiny 2 (the game Anthem appears to be aping), means the environment is ripe for another controversy and Anthem has baggage surrounding it, warranted or not, and will likely be criticized heavily. Selling a game is hard. Selling a game to people who already don’t want to like it is almost impossible. 

Anthem has got a lot riding on it. And EA has pretty high standards (when it comes to how much money it expects a game to earn). I hate to say all this as someone who grew up with BW games and is dying inside that DA is delayed..... but it is what it is. 

i read somewhere they are aiming for 2023 as release date. if so they have to show us something this year. i personally assume we will see something in the upcoming months anyway - i am certain june will be the month but i am obviously no insider. just a feeling nothing more.

I am hoping for a Fallout style last minute release announcement in 2023, and only a release on PC and Next-Gen Consoles.

We don't know for certain yet, but I'd say it's pretty unlikely given that going cross-gen was one of their big regrets with DA:I.

Though I don't expect DA4 to launch until (at least) the Fall of 2023.

From what I've been hearing, it sounds like the "Major IP" game of Q4 will be the Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, possibly called Jedi: Survivor.

... or rather that DA4 is not cross-gen. 

Thanks for the link, I do remember reading it before. So by the time DA4 drops, it should be (at least) 3 full years into the current gen. Even with supply constraints, there should be a sizeable console userbase (to go along with the existing PC base) by then. 

I don't know while its always possible memory is clouding things a bit on my end so I definitley count in this I do think that anyone that was predicting the game that soon after Anthem would have been that reasonable.  Maybe 2021 at the earliest but I think I have been thinking for quite awhile that it would be 2022-23 given when Anthem came out.  Though I didn't think it would be 2024 which seems there is a distinct possibility that may happen *shivers* Maker.

They should only be allowed to move on when the PS5 becomes actually affordable. I guess I'll only get to play DA4 if I open a Onlyfans account.

Don’t see the problem. Just play it on pc or buy a laptop. Play it on there played DAO and DAI on laptop never on console and it worked totally fine.

Also it’s better to focus on new gen cause old gen just hold games back - happened to Skyrim. Skyrim would have been better if it wouldn’t had let itself draw back by that consoles in general. That’s why I so hope BioWare/EA won’t make this mistake and focus more on pc. - tactical view/gameplay would profit from it too in my opinion.
