Before E3 2019, but after Anthem is released. At E3 2019, Bioware will show a trailer for the game and announce the game will be released on Nov 19 2019, 5 years one day after the release of DAI.
The above will only happen if the Anthem game is not delayed.

Probably after Anthem, so I suspect 2019-2020 at best. I'm sure if the game bombs then expect no DA in the near future, if successful however, a new DA is ensured but they will probably forget that Mass Effect:Andromeda even exists

Not soon from the sound of it. With Anthem getting delayed until next year, I doubt we see anything of DA4 until E3 2019....if even that. It is clear that EA wants Anthem to get all of Bioware's attention, so even announcing it at E3 2019 could steal some of Anthems thunder since it will launch a few months earlier than E3. It could be very well E3 2020 before we actually see DA4.

With the game "prob still yrs away", I'm guessing maybe an E3 announcement in 2020, followed by a release in 2021. 2014 to 2021... that's a long time. 😭 From what we've heard, there's still a small team on DA4 though, and I wonder what sorts of things they're going to be working on while the focus is on Anthem.  Refining/Adding gameplay elements? More time to massage the writing? That could be beneficial in the long run. And I'm assuming if adding these new Live Services constitutes a "reboot", it could potentially have a trickle-down effect on many aspects of the game. |
