Cyberpunk but that will come in 2019 most likely.
i had a crush on deliverance but when i saw it was first person i wast out of the road, a shame.
to be honest for me, nothing has caught my eye for 2018 at the moment. Maybe Monster Hunter perhaps.
i'm dying to get my hands in some games from the past months or even 1/2 years in the past though, like Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade X.

Oh, yes, PoE2, I will be looking at reviews for sure. Reviews are always subjective. If you have the time, it's better to look at the actual gameplay. Either on YT or Twitch. You can easily skip / avoid the story elements if you don't want to be spoiled.

POE1 has no romances. The most you get is visit a brothel. Whether they would include romance for POE2 is anyone's guess. I was initially interested, then I watched the gameplay and decided it's not what I want. The style and everything else just, well, is dull to me. I jumped into DOS blind and then found I didn't like it very much. I was more cautious with DOS2; watched gameplay of it. After about several hours, I was sure I would like it and bought it. As it turned out, I do like it.

As it turned out, I do like it. POE1 did not have romances in it? I though that county boy with the southern accent and easy going charm was there specifically to provide a hunky romance option for the ladies? Then again none of the companions really appealed to me and generally had dumb stats or classes that weren't as useful in my current party set up so I pretty much ignored them and went with a fully custom party and had to headcanon the hawt romance and filthy sex orgies. On a side note I haven't really been following the development of the second game all that much, is it a direct continuation of the storyline from the first game or do we take control of a different character this time around? I am guessing certain companions will be returning as evident by country boy (or somebody who looks almost identical to him) appearing in the banner art?

As it turned out, I do like it. From what I read about PoE, the companions were not the focus, and I like Black Isle/Obsidian the most when they focus on companions vs on trying to build Uber-skill customization scheme and prove to themselves again that very few players live for creating a full party of player-made characters with peculiar skill combinations. They tried it in IWDs, twice, in Zehir and as far as I can tell, PoE is a spiritual successor to those two games. I’d rather play a spiritual successor to Kotor2 and Tyranny, so... will see what they do in poe2. DoS2 I am leaving be for a while, hoping they fix it up some, and maybe rework the journal system to point clearly to how to do each quest. Or for detailed Walkthroughs to show up in a year or two... Isometric projection is a major turn-off for me, so it has to be exactly what I want otherwise w/o irritants like OW or convoluted quest progression....

State of decay 2 (and it'll have multiplayer! Hopefully it stays intact when implementing this).
Sea of thieves, don't think I've ever played anything like it so maybe it'll be fun and a new thing to try.
Detroit become human
Last of us 2
About it for now. There may be a battlefield game I'll try out and "if" there does end up being a halo 6 in 2018 I'll be paying attention to its reception (as I haven't been a fan of Reach and after).
I'm also getting back into pc gaming but I'll most likely catch up on the games that have been out rather than going for the newer full priced stuff. There's a lot of total war to catch up on and I'm getting back into Starcraft 2.

battletech by hairbrained schemes can't wait to play that one. After that, Metro Exodus. Just read the third book, to get a sense of where they're going with that series. And, I'm interested in the new game now. I think Mechwarrior 5 is coming out next year, if so then def that one. I loved 4: merchs, and still play it occasionally. I don't think I know about any others coming out in 2018. Unless cyberpunk is? if so, then that one as well.

I'm hoping for Borderlands 3, but no idea if that'll happen in 2018. Same for the next Elder Scrolls game, but I think chances are even slimmer.

It was cool no idea why mobile firefox is putting this in a quote, but it is what it is. I never played 3. I came in at 4 merchs. I did pick up an old copy of vengeance, the lack of a market really changes how that game plays. You can't just go buy a new weapon or chasis as needed. you need to carefully place your shots, if only to recover as much as you can. [/quote]

Okay, lets take a look.. I'll go off the rest of this thread and some lists I look up. -I've been more impatient than many towards Bethesda, but I do thing its time for a new main single-player (or at least SP with dropin co-op or whatever) title. Announcement should happen 2018 and release in 2018-2019. That said, I'm not much of a Fallout/TES gamer so I have plenty to catch up to on my own time. I like the stuff, it just seems to deep to even bother with whenever I try. But I will try. - Vampyr looks interesting. Maybe not an immediate buy, but I may appreciate what it goes for. - FFXV on Windows. Might not get it in 2018 for several reasons: wanting to upgrade my hardware, waiting for patches and future DLC, lacking time due to school and work - but I will get it eventually by 2020 and I want to see how much people like the port. - Monster Hunter World is at least somewhat interesting, which is more than I've said for any previous MH game. - Anthem ... I guess you could say I'm 'looking forward' to it, but nothing more. I have bitter feelings about it (or worse, an apathy), but I follow Bioware enough to keep a curiosity. But so far it has the least desire from me then any Bioware game since Mass Effect. - Cyberpunk 2077. I can dream. - Call of Cthulhu, perfect Halloween gaming. - Soul Calibur VI always hypes me up, even though I'm not sure if it even should (I'm not usually into fighting games nor am I even good at them). And its on PC! - Bayonetta 3, if only to see my partner have a blast (I guess this goes for Metroid Prime 4 too) - Dreams! I have to make a particular exception for consoles I don't have, because Dreams looks like it just might be exactly what I want to try. - Ni No Kuni 2 sounds great, but I may wait until seeing the first one on PC. - Agony. I won't play it. I just want to hide while others play it in the same room. - State of Decay 2, though only with some interest as I want to try the first one first. - Indivisible might be good? Hope its not too shallow and short. Pretty indie game. - FFVII:Remake, which may not even start to happen (episode games) in 2018, but maybe I can get the news to start knowing I can play on PC in 2019-2020. But I won't start caring about Kingdom Hearts until I get the 1.5/2.5/2.8/etc things on PC. - WoW: Battle for Azeroth. Just MAYBE it'd get me into that game. MAYBE. But moreso WoW: Classic . Mentions:
There's a lot of series with games every 1-3 years that I just don't anticipate more of because I haven't even caught up on the rest, even if I have the games already (like Metro). So I didn't include them in the list. I'd include more console games but I don't have a PS4, at least not yet. XB1, which I also don't have, has almost no exclusives I'd want to bother with, though compatibility with Windows is at least a minor plus I account for. We have a Switch here but its more my partner's enjoyment, though I'm increasingly falling in love with its titles (Rabbids for example). There's a lot of probably wonderful miscellaneous PC RPGs coming in 2018. I just don't know enough about them and probably want to get through my older stuff first. Hell, lots of PC games in general. There's some fantastic looking Skyrim content mods coming in 2018, especially that one that will take players into Oblivion. But first, I need my vanilla Skyrim playthrough . I don't have VR and will probably not have it in 2018 as my priority will be on a new mobile phone and desktop PC hardware (not significantly updated in several years) and just maybe a PS4, but maybe 2019. I do keep my eye on VR due to my futurism and having friends that do have it. Um, Accounting+ looks like potential stupid fun, with emphasis on stupid. One of my least desired genres is survival, so you can notice how that's basically scratched off. It not that I can never like it, but that I'd need that perfect title and friend with me to convince me. I also tend to avoid flat-out shooters unless they have a lot of story or at least charm. There's a couple F2P games that I play more regularly than most games for the last while. Secret World Legends is supposedly finally getting new story content in 2018 and I want to see if that happens or flops. Mobius Final Fantasy is a mobile game with a PC version, that I've been playing regularly enough, and it has the chance of finishing its first main story arc (8 Chapters, I think) in 2018. I'll give Warframe a real chance someday. I promise. It'd help if there's a lot of catchup mechanics/design added, as the grind/trade system really intimidates me at this point. I think 2018 will be full of potentially fantastic games, its just not all gonna be stuff I feel any hype about (like God of War). There's a number of MMORPGs I follow but there's nothing to be particularly hyped about for 2018. SWTOR has no announcement of a massive improvement. GW2 has to go through its Path of Fire expansion patches. RIFT seems disturbingly declining, but we'll see. FFXIV is doing well, and seems set for a year of updates, but I dunno if I want to put the subscription down. Similarly for ESO which doesn't require the subscription but will have both updates/DLC and an expansion next year. The genre may have declined (and/or developers shifted to similar genres or mobile), but the remaining titles of the last half decade have many examples of continued development and sustainable playerbases. I'm gonna still play Bioware. I have MET playthroughs to finish, and maybe ME3 MP to mess with. I have MEA playthroughs to do, and maybe MEA MP to mess with. I got all sorts of DA to tackle before DA4. I might at least catch up on story of SWTOR, but mixed feelings about that title. I at least intend on fully dealing with MET (never to play in this form again, but open to remaster/remakes), and DAO, maybe DA2. If I can get this done, I'll move to Baldur's Gate series, KOTOR and Jade Empire, maybe Neverwinter Knights (I hear Beamdog is addressing it).

Not going to be released in 2018 but with Star Citizen's 3.0 Alpha now out on live(too early imo but I think they wanted a 2017 release of it) I'm interested to see the game finally starting to take shape over the course of the next year.
A new Fire Emblem game may push me to get a Switch so I can play it and finally try out BotW.
Also Anthem of course.
Other than that Metro Exodus, Soul Calibur finally being on PC and Far Cry 5.
