No. It exceeds the price of the games for three quests. It is particularly mindboggling for ME2, because it is just one more companion and a story about a companion, and lords in heavens, ME2 does not lack companions.... Anyway, It is a good move, but the price is greedy to the point of incredulous.

For me, it was worth it. Which character dlc do you get?

For me, it was worth it. Which character dlc do you get? Kasumi and, I suppose (or they better have it), Javik in me3. I understand Javik in me3, because the cast is so meh with the best of the ME2 characters out of action, but for ME2 one more or one less... who cares? And no, not worth it for dlc when you can buy AC Origins for that pretty much.

Similarly, Zaeed and Garrus don't both need to be in the game. They essentially fill the same slot but with less character development. That said, their presence and loyalty in ME2 has a direct impact in ME3. Literally, it will saves lives if they survive into ME3. My favorite ME2 DLC is Overlord. If you do things nicely, there's a touching moment in ME3. These are reasons why, FOR ME, the DLC is worth it.

Too bad there's no "complete your collection" feature. I have all the DLCs for ME2 except for Overlord. Not sure if it's worth 560 points on its own, since I hate the Hammerhead and I know it's involved somewhere.

I could understand EA using them if you had to buy points in chunks of, say, 500 or 1000, which would force you to buy more than you need and never spend them all, thus allowing EA to squeeze every last penny out of the consumer. But the way they are now, as an even exchange, they don't make any sense at all.

I agree, Dragontartare - I have all DLC's except Omega which I now want to try out, but to my disaapointment discovered that the old Bioware site has closed off individual (and somewhat cheaper) purchases. We should petition EA via Origin to offer them individually again. btw: Don't let the hammerhead part put you off in The Overlord - it's quite doable when you get the hang of its shittyliciously miniscule bursts of energy

Not sure exactly what it is...I think the isolation from your squad and that it's fairly lengthy. It would have been more worth it had you been able to use the chessboard you acquire in your game with Traynor.

I thought the Arrival dlc also felt a little lonesome especially while trying to get the Last Stand achievement (insanity). Omega dlc will make Aria's presence on the Citadel feel more complete for me and delay the end somewhat longer...

Arrival is lonesome but it has the benefit of a "should have been part of the game" feel to it. Leads better into ME3 than ME2's own ending. As for Omega, well, Aria stays on the Citadel regardless, which is nonsensical after all the trouble she went through to regain control of Omega.

Well, at least now that the DLCs are out as packs hopefully means that they will also be part of sales, so people can get them for $10 each or something (which IMO would be a good price for those pack. The ME2/3 DLCs are all very very good IMO and are all worth getting and playing but still, the games are 6-8 years old by now. Given that, the price outside of a sale is very steep indeed.

But the price is steeeeep. In CNDs it costs 25$ for ME2 and $30 for ME3. Ha! In NZD they cost $34.99 and $39.99 respectively. Currently on sale at 20% off ($27.99 and $31.99), but that's still way too much--but they exist now, for real money; the sales can only get better.

ME3 DLC pack is €21.59 here (-28%) because I still have two weeks of Origin Access left. Hmm. Not such a bargain for me since I've already got From Ashes and Leviathan, so it'd be €21.59 for Omega and Citadel.
The real upside for me is that I'm finally able to get it at all - tried buying them 1-2 years ago but Origin only gave me error messages. Same with ME2 DLC, but I could buy that on the Bioware site. For whatever reason, ME3 DLC was impossible to buy there too (must have worked a few years earlier since I've got Leviathan).
But as I haven't played it since and am not sure when I'll play it ever again, I think I'll give it a pass. Maybe there'll be a good sale sometime.
