On the one hand, "everybody is bi" seems like rather lazy writing to me; on the other hand, if none of a very limited number of romance options appealed to me it would kinda suck. Looking at Inquisition, I did try to chat up Cassandra to begin with and was somewhat frustrated at her being straight, but that's just her and the brush-off was quite amusing; whereas I like Sera just being Sera and as such being very fussy with her romance options, even though it gave me a bit of a headache as a magey elf. Or an elfy mage, depending. But if my only options had been Anders mk II or Shale... D: |

D: I just like it how they did it in DA2, less was more and nobody was forced to try to create a character for a specific romance and replay the game multiple times if you did not want to. We could just play what appealed and no ground for arguments like the one from the OP. I did not like it a single bit that my options were Blackwall and Bull when it were Cullen and Dorian that I wanted to romance. |
