Drack's Writing/Character Quality

I thought Drack's writing was pretty good, could have done with some more insight into his past (i know we got alot, but more wouldnt have hurt in my opinion) but overall i thought he was compelling and how he opened up to Ryder through time was pretty smooth

Drack was gooood, that med-bay scene turned out well written and one of the few memorable character scenes.

Drack: Good. Could have been great, but played it safe with the old-man soldier trope. He never really went much beyond his well-established traits, even during his loyalty mission.

Not bad.

Haha i loved Drack's "get off of my lawn" old man rhetoric....he's an old war vet and he gives good conversation on his past and his involvements within the battles he's endured. He offers great advice in the manner of how an experienced war veteran would in his position and throughout the game he seems to care very much about his Niece/Grand Daughter? (forgot her name) on the Nexuus....





Drack has great conversation and i always looked at Drack as the big strong cranky war veteran that can still get his hands dirty and get the job done...I ALWAYS took Drack out with me on missions....one of the best written characters in the game.

I gave Drack an excellent. He was my favorite of the bunch. Old, loyal but not stupid, willing to act like a krogan and drop someone into a "bottomless" pit...his reaction to rescue krogan or salarians was understandable but he didn't seem to hold a grudge. It seemed like he was too old to hang on to pointless things, especially when he knows it's not personal. Were there ever a sequel, I'd love to see his return most of all. Hell, even if we returned to the MW, I'd love to see a pre-MEA Drack in action.

The Kid bit got a bit repetitive and having him as necessary to kill Spender... I want that pleasure.

I have always been a fan of the Krogan and I love each squadmate we have had. While I think his writing was good there is one major item that has always bothered me and frustrates me because Ryder isn't given the comeback I would use and it has to do with the Krogan scouts. I agree that if they are left behind it is a horrible outcome that I wouldn't wish that on anyone but at the same time I (we) really need to look at the big picture and try to do what is right for the whole group. The fact he is quick to use the old prejudice card as the reason I would pick the salarian over the scouts really gets to me because it isn't true. Why I can't say that is mind boggling to me.

Good. Would be excellent with more plot involvement not being pushed to his granddaughter (etc). Almost benchmark, and indeed benchmark in some ways.

Possibly best written companion - he just doesn't resonate with me. That's okay, no krogan companion has, and only rare other krogan NPCs do.

Above average in my view, and overall my favorite squad mate.
He is pretty generic, badass, old-school, rough Krogan merc. Bioware kinda played safe with him, but there is room for this type of character in the Mass Effect Universe, especially due to the fact we didn't get any Krogan squad mate in ME3.
