I have no idea what I could do now. I have reinstalled the game twice and entered the save game path to ME1 saves. But it does not working. I cannot import my ME1 save game to ME2.
It is very frustrating. >.<

Yes, I did. I have created the ME1 folder in the ME2 Save folder, already.

Yes, I did. I have created the ME1 folder in the ME2 Save folder, already. The folders are one thing. Importing the files is another. Did you let MassEffect2Config .exe copy the files? That's what is needed before you can open up ME2 and do the import.

The Conifg tool is doing nothing. I choosing the path to the Save Folder from ME1, click on save settings and that is it. It does not happen anything more. It had not even created the ME1 folder in the Save Folder from ME2.

If i recall, there is an ME2 save file editor where you can manually select stuff you did in ME1, like who you left on virmire, whether Wrex is dead/etc...Maybe give that a go? Create a brand new ME2 save and as soon as you reach the first autosave point, use the save editor to edit stuff around to your liking, then save that as a seperate save (always recommended so you dont ruin the original file), then fire up ME2, load modified save and then done! If you need the ME1 save to keep the appearance of your shepard then im not sure what you can do about that

It had not even created the ME1 folder in the Save Folder from ME2. The config tool only looks like it does nothing. There is no confirmation or progress bar or anything after you click on save settings. However, for me, it did do what it was supposed to do. When you try to import an ME1 save into ME2, is the list just completely blank? Or are there some games there, but not the particular one you want?

In the Config tool there is only a button to click on and guide the tool to the save game folder from ME. After clicking on Save Settings there doesn't happening anything. It creates no ME1 Folder into the Save Folder of ME2 and converting nothing. It changes the gamesettings.ini and add the path to the Mass Effect save game folder. But ME2 does not care about that.
Edit: @dar'Nara: Thank you, but I have thought about to do it on this way, too, but I want to keep the appearance.

Just to make sure of the following: 1. Are you sure you're pointing the config tool to the correct folder? Something like: My Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\save\ 2. Is the character you're trying to import from a complete ME1 PT? 3. If you copied the files manually, did you grab the files that start with "CHAR_"? 4. Again if you copied the files manually, did you put them in a folder with a path like: My Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save\ME1

1. Mass Effect from Origin is writing Save Folder with capital letter 2. It is only one carrier and in the last autosave should be Anderson the human counselor and the old three dead. Mass Effect locked up to level cap 60 3. The save files begin with the name from Shepard Rango. Not CHAR 4. Yes. Definitely.

3. The save files begin with the name from Shepard Rango. Not CHAR I checked my own imported saves folder, and the filenames all start with "CHAR_". I'll bet this is your problem. You need to copy the files that start with CHAR, not Shepard's name.

Mass Effect is saving the files with the name from Shepard. I will test it later.
Thank you.

Mass Effect is saving the files with the name from Shepard. I will test it later. Thank you. Right, as you play ME1 and save your game, the filename will have Shepard's name in it. However, when you complete a PT all the way, you'll end up with "CHAR" files. In my ME1 folder, I have two CHAR files, one for each completed Shepard, and none for partial Shepards (I have one partial Shepard in ME1). Maybe reload your latest ME1 save and make absolutely sure that you've finished completely...as in, the credits have rolled.

Interesting. ME has not created the Char file. Hmm. I could skip the Credits from ME1 on PS3, this is way I did it now on PC. :s This Problem is solved for this time. Thank you.
I hope now the ALOT Mod will work.
