i really like pathfinder's setting but i REALLY don't like how focused on min/maxing the rules are. it's designed from the ground up by and for min/maxer's and autists. the rest of us normies have to play on crayon eater difficulty just to hit a target.

I think for the Andromeda questions that asked you who did you give leadership to or whatever, one of the answers should have been "Who are these people" because I had no idea who any of them were when I read the question. I only played through this game once and no one is memorable.

Good, now please, make next logical step and assume why is it? Same thing as with Jaal - changes in the concept of the character. Inconsistency. Nobody condemns originally gay character, but changing an already established NPC does bother people. And it happens every time anything about a character is changed - I even say sexuality is the least of it (only 2 cases in BW games up until now?). But appearance, personality, even "iconic weapon" - every time a game company change something of that, it gets lots of harsh words from community.

Actually, true for any media - movies might be the worse in that case.

I actually disagree here. I believe it's because they saw "masculine" Kaidan behaving in a way that didn't fit with their world view. Cortez, OTOH, was seen crying early on, which served to make him more "effeminate". In any case, the number of men I know who were exclusively heterosexual right up until they weren't is staggering. So...fuck 'em. I have no sympathy.

A pretty flawed survey. Options for opinion on MEA were given only in comparison with the original trilogy. Especially bad since they acknowledged the possibility that not all of those who took the survey have played all or any of the OT games. There was an "I haven't played ME3" option in the first question of the ME3 spoiler section, but then it proceeded to ask me about what choices I made in the game without an option to remind them that I have not played it. A lot of questions would benefit from the "Other:" answer with some space to elaborate. Especially the question about MEA criticisms - they didn't really cover all the existing issues.

Because online surveys do not reflect general gaming community, but only specific active one in online content creation.

So online survey's are rarely accurate, even when there's thousands of participants.

many questions did not take into account that several people have played different variations of the games, made different choices etc.
Those questions forced us to choose one playstyle, or one choice.
I did destroy the genophage in some games, and didn't in other playthroughs.
Did save Mordin and also killed him.
Chose all the possible ME3 endings.
But the survey didn't care about that.

and so on.
