Tell me about your favourite speech on Mass Effect

Gotta go with Sovereign on this one - some great and memorable lines which establish the Reapers as the ultimate threat to life in the MW.

Honorable mention is Shepard on Tali's loyalty mission. Not so much because of the speech itself but because it's my favorite mission, specially if you bring Legion along. However, closing off with I didn't do it for one of your crew but for one of mine was pretty bad ass.

I have to confess: None of Shepard's speeches inspired me. It was too overdramatic, and Sovereign was so stereotypically egotistical that I tuned it out.

If there was one who could deliver speeches, it was Hackett. I don't know why, but he had the right level of pathos and kept the speeches grounded and simple. He made statements that didn't need to be elaborated much and they stuck far better in my head than the others could. One particular thing he says isn't listed, as it's not a speech, but an admonishment to a Shepard that punches Khalisah Al-Jhilani. It was delightful to see unprofessional behavior called out for the way it affects others and I still remember how he told Shep that when they put on the uniform, they are making a statement that affects the rest of the Alliance. It was one of the few moments that felt immersive when someone wasn't worshipping our protagonist.
