Solas dammit dad go to bed u drunk sobs I don't haz one so I intended to do it MYSELF (hence working on teh necklace) I need moar soals in my lief yes If I thought I'd ever have the opportunity to cosplay, my sewing machine and I would be all over making a fem!Solas costume, but I'm probably never going to a convention--no one even invites us to Halloween parties. That necklace is looking pretty cool. I never would have thought to use papier-mâché. I'd been thinking of doing one in Sculpey...but then I don't know when I would wear such an object. I think a vegetarian wearing a bone necklace kind of sends mixed messages. Im so going to casual cosplay to go to uni. It's clay under the papermache. Clay is only so sturdy, i use the paper to prevent it from falling apart if any accident happen ! You gotta expect cracks from clay heh. I dont even use the expensive kind

Sorry if it seems insensitive, but reading this made me happy--happy that we are still around to provide a soft place for friends like forgetmenot to land. My Solavellan Hellspiral story was similar (although I was stupid enough to choose the Elf as my fist run love interest). The Egg dumped my Lavellan right before Valentine's Day. I was miserable. What was Solas doing to himself? Why? I need to fix this! My reaction seemed irrational even to me. After years of playing BioWare games I finally I signed up for the forum on February 12, 2015, and immediately sought refuge in the Fort. The pain does get better eventually. All the kind folks here will help newcomers along as they did me. You guys and gals are so awesome. Gold stars for everyone! ✮ ✮ ✮ this post made me smile

I'm probably the only one, but I could never play through DAO properly, without resorting to cheats. It always feels like the storyline stays in one place for 90% of the time and nothing really happens until the Landsmeet, so I get bored around the third big quest and. Just. Can't. Never had this problem with DAII or even DAI (even though it's really-really long...). The consensus seems to be that it's the best DA game, though, so please don't burn me for heresy. It's ok buddy, not every game is going to please every one. Maybe this one wasn't for you. I tend to have this issue but it was no problem with da:o, maybe because I played it a long time ago ? I prefered da:i better of the 3 but I have a very specific gaming background lol (lots of mmorpgs and running around in the plains farming things, basically. Add deep lore and I belong to u) Not heresy so no burning, yay! I have played DAO multiple times although of the three games I don't feel it's the best one (in my opinion). I prefer DAI the most (Solas may be no small reason for that heh) and then for the story it would be DAO with DA2 last. And I didn't hate DA2, I actually quite like it but the story (and reused cave art asset) does frustrate me at times.

Welcome forgetmenot The fort is cozy and welcoming to all who suffer from having the Dread Wolf break their heart. There are lots of pillows, blankets and cookies. Please, excuse me while I crawl into my little corner and cry. I'm up to the balcony scene once more and dang-it, I just know he's going to do it again but I can't help it!!!!

While I'd rather play DAI than Origins...I still tell people that Origins is the best RPG BioWare ever made. The character builds had deep customization. The dialogue trees branched in all kinds of crazy directions. The ending was epic instead of anti-climactic. As time has gone on I think BioWare is creating more and more life-like characters, but they are skimping on some of the other things that made Origins amazing. Solas almost makes up for not being able to play as a pickpocket ranger rogue or a crossbow warrior...almost. I really miss picking pockets. I needz all teh lootz. I do miss being able to play as a dual wielding warrior .. or heck, just even use a BOW as a warrior. I think skillwise that's the only thing I really miss. Also the depth in the way you could set tactics was great. The only reason you could have dialogue trees like that in DAO was because the protagonist wasn't voiced and I may be addicted to a voiced character now so I can settle for that compromise. DAI still had a great deal of dialogue even with the (dual) voiced main character. I also wouldn't say it's skimping so much as making compromises, they have a budget so they can add somethings but they'll have to take some things away. Picking pockets was never a really big thing for me, think I only did it a couple of times to get quest items heh. What I would really love to see are actual combination classes. A real arcane warrior or a mage/rogue hybrid. I also wish they wouldn't limit the skills to such a small number on the skill bar. In DAO and DA2 you could have all the skills on the bar because you had like 20 slots and that was awesome. And I miss heal spells.

I'll have to do that in the future, I'd like to do many more runs of DAI compared to the previous 2 games. I might make worlds up, or have 2 parallel worlds coming from one world state. Thank you! I don't no. You want me to capture that? *big long sigh*....I guess I could do that. I'll go do it and start a thread for Inquisitor sliders, you'll find her there. She looks a lot like how I imagined my Hawke should look in DAI, so I thought I could try to recreate her again with yours as a blueprint. But don't feel obligated to do it if it's too much of a bother, but it would make me a happy bunny! Okay Bunny, here you go - bsn.boards.net/thread/791/inquisitor-sliders-character-creation-inquisition (deleted as there was another board for it) New link - bsn.boards.net/thread/123/links-cc-sliders-inquisitors-2?page=1&scrollTo=47988

While I wouldn't mind a slot or two (or mixing classes), I generally don't mind limited skill slots. In DAO it was viable because the fights were simply slower. Me? I prefer faster fights to which also I have to prepare earlier by selecting a number of proper skills and outfitting the PC/party right for the encounter - ESO (5 slots on each weapon bar), Dragon's Dogma (with only 6 active skills) or DAI. The most skill slots I've seen in fast-paced game was 9 slots in Kingdoms of Amalur. Personally I wouldn't mind an amalgam of all of the above - we can have double weapon bar we can swap to, like in ESO or KOA. Or they can make attacks stronger and more elaborate the more we charge them (like in Dragon's Dogma). I do enjoy being able to freely swap between different morphs for the same skill like they did with Trespasser - I hope they'd keep that. Personally I find more weapons slots simply unnecessary, especially that most of the time most of these skills stay unused, or - like in case of DAO - are filled with stuff like potions.

Personally I find more weapons slots simply unnecessary, especially that most of the time most of these skills stay unused, or - like in case of DAO - are filled with stuff like potions. I hated ESO's 5 slots >< Like seriously ... hated. I preferred the multitude of slots because it gave me more control over my skills. I could choose which skills to use in a certain situation instead of trying to be prescient or playing through the fight then realizing I needed to reload and choose different things. The skills were already there on the bar and I could adapt on the fly or as the situation demanded. Also in DAO at least where you could swap weapons, then I could have bow abilities and sword abilities slotted. I also prefer grouping my abilities ... direct single target attacks, then an empty spot as a spacer then AOE attacks then a space, then debuffs, another empty spot, then buffs, etc. as I tend to be something of a mouse clicker and it made it easier for me to find things. It's just different playstyles. And I really don't like being limited when I have so many other options available. The Trespasser morphs? Those were awesome, I agree.

What is this devilry? I always play on a console or on a PC with a game pad, so I just used radial menu in DAO which had EVERYTHING on it. I used all the stuffs! That probably wasn't a very effective tactic, but I was a bit of a noob back then. People are always bringing up Dragon's Dogma. I love that game. It has no soul, but it's fun as hell. If Dragon's Dogma and Dragon Age had a baby it would truly be a thing of beauty. I know suggesting that DA become more action-oriented in its gameplay is often considered grounds for a riot, but I couldn't agree more. I suffer DAI's gameplay in order to experience the rest of what it has to offer. That lore, and those characters. I'd love a gameplay overhaul, though.

Personally I find more weapons slots simply unnecessary, especially that most of the time most of these skills stay unused, or - like in case of DAO - are filled with stuff like potions. Skill slots? What is this devilry? I always play on a console or on a PC with a game pad, so I just used radial menu in DAO which had EVERYTHING on it. I used all the stuffs! That probably wasn't a very effective tactic, but I was a bit of a noob back then. People are always bringing up Dragon's Dogma. I love that game. It has no soul, but it's fun as hell. If Dragon's Dogma and Dragon Age had a baby it would truly be a thing of beauty. As long as it works for you then its effective! That said, radial menus annoy the crap out of me lol. Give me a keyboard/mouse and I'm happy hehe. But what if the baby had no soul and DA's combat mechanics? Would it still be a thing of beauty? =x

Dragon's Dogmas combat wasn't good because it was action-oriented, but because there was so many creative and unique things you could do in it, or have happen to your party. Case in point, you could have you and everyone of your Pawns jump onto a Griffin to weigh it down and stop it from flying away. Dragons could possess people and turn allies against you. The Chimera had three stages of combat because it was a lion/goat/snake hybrid monster, and you could take out each head in whatever order you chose to, changing the behaviour of the creature. And yes you could climb onto creatures, but usually they would try to grab you or knock you off, dealing heavy damage. Bioware's writing has always been on point, so I see no issue in trying to make gameplay more creative and engaging. It would be interesting to see random bosses like drakes and regular dragons roaming the open world that you could fight alongside the high dragons.
