I never understood the solas love before but after that last scene in tresspasser where we see him with the wolf pelt I really like him. I am actually considering a solas romance which I know is weird given what we now know. He just seems so much cooler now. Anyone else have this

He's...more interesting, certainly, but I don't think "cooler" is the word I would personally use for a deity planning mass extermination. The only reason I can see to romance him after knowing the truth is to have an angst playthrough (which I might, one day). Otherwise, I had a really hard time keeping my second Inquisitor (Lavellan) in character, rather than pissing Solas off just so I could get the punching scene.
Maybe I'll make my Cadash do that, or my next Trevelyan.

I'll have to make a douche Inky at some point, seen others drive lil Cole out of the Inquisition. Monsters!

Because before he was just an egghead hobo and now he's the big bad wolf, quite literally? I feel like his overall demeanour is different in Trespasser. He's not pretending to be something he's not anymore and comes across as being incredibly determined and confident. Plus the armour was really cool. Dem thighs.

I'm paraphrasing, but it went something like this... "Anders was the same and he had demon inside of him. What's your excuse?"

So, I just finished the Nature of the Beast Quest in Origins. And gotta say... the way the scene played out, with Zathrain sacrificing himself to end the curse to help out all parties involved... seriously made me think this was how it was going to play out with Solas come DA4.
They both had bald heads. Thought they knew better. Had centuries long opinions on a matter dear to their heart.

Not that I did either mind you, my skills of deduction are not that great but I knew there was much more to him than he let on.

My first playthrough I thought he was kinda icky and weird.
....lol.
Sexy armor and sheer power aside, he's at the nexus of a whole lot of complicated situations spanning thousands of years. To me that is seriously cool.
My read is that he is essentially a good person who bears a duty that conflicts with his core principles. This puts him in the position to (essentially) say to a romanced Lavellan "I love you but I'm going to kill you and your loved ones", which is really sick.
He's my favorite character in DAI, perhaps in the entire series.

Omg you're right. both bald heads.. and is it just my imagination or do they have the same staff? I am not sure if I wanna think about D4 or not. I am afraid of that what could happen to solas. my bf doesn't play DA but depending on how often I play it .. he already knows the main story ( I tell him about characters and so on). when I told him about my fav romance .. of course solavellan he didn't understand what ppl like about him. I also have to say he doesn't know every detail of the game. he asked my why ppl like such a racist. that was his first question after I explained to him that only a female elf can romance him. furthermore I told him about the trespasser thing and he was really convinced that solas is a racist (because of what he wants to do ...). I mean .. don't think so. is it so reprehensible that solas only likes female elfs? I guess you cannot simply call it racism, the whole story about him is too complex. I tried to explain my bf the elven history a bit .. but my bf was still not convinced.
