I am eagerly awaiting any news also.  It IS probably still too early yet. 

You're right about Anthem.  They basically said they're not targeting Bioware's core audience with it, right?  So why let it dictate anything regarding Dragon Age.  Just another reason to be annoyed by that game. 

I'm not sure I'd say it's too early for news really - at the very least an official confirmation.  DA2 was released in 2011 and DAI was officially announced in 2013 (and released in 2014).  I know they want to stagger their game releases and they want hype to build for Anthem but I personally have zero interest in Anthem and at the moment I too am simply annoyed with that game as all it seems to do is delay Dragon Age. 

And to be honest all I'd really like right now is actual confirmation that yes, they are working on the next DA game.  I don't need a fancy trailer or gameplay demos, just a "Yes we're working on it."  I think I'm just tired of hints or teasers.

And Salos is a joke referring to DA4 "leak" from a few months ago.

Salos - the master of deception! I guess switching a few letters in the name has as much power to conceal true identity as Clark Ken't glasses.

Oh, hang on... I sort of recall that Salos may have had a different nickname... something like Dread Llama? Dread Woof?

Changing his name to "Salos" actually makes sense, considering there is a city of same name. Imagine those awkward dialogues in DA4 regarding travelling:

Hero: Alright, guys, we're going after Solas.
Companion1: Right, let me just pack my favourite dress.
Companion2: I heard Solas is very nice this time of year.
Hero: What? He's ugly! He looks like a Nosferatu!
C1: C'mon, it's not that bad!
C2: Yeah, darkness is a part of its charm.
Hero: He wants to destroy the world!
C1: Don't be silly. We'll have to pay some taxes, but...
C2: It will be a very nice trip.
C3: By the way, when are we gonna do hunting of that apostate elf?
Hero: Maker, kill me now...

And well... it's not like he isn't a hero from ancient past Such people usually have stuff named after them. 

I wouldn't, however, be surprised if the city was named after something else and it's all just happy coincidence. The temple of Solasan wasn't named after him, after all. He was unfamiliar and somewhat baffled about that place. And we know already 'Solas' ain't just a name, but word for 'pride' or 'standing tall'. It still may have some sort of connection, but it may not be direct. Or perhaps - plot-twist! - it's not city that got its name after Solas, but Solas took his name after city, for whatever reason.

Whatever the truth is, the whole dagger-burying near the city was obviously a 4th wall wink for the audience (just like map being in English is). Though considering that so far what we know of the next title is that Inquisition will be attempting to stop Solas, Inky might have done that on purpose in-game as well (perhaps it was the reason he/she made a decision to go to Tevinter)... Or it was just a coincidence, lol.
