I'm am balancing on "go into DAV blind, experience everything to it's fullest" and "look up if solavellan won't be ignored/sidelined and manage your expectations". It physically hurt me playing Trespasser nine years ago. With the teaser and Solas "I suspect you have question" I went in believing I will finally get closure. I recall vividly when I went through his conversation and reloaded few times, thinking I picked the wrong answer or somethin. And then I cried for the rest of the night (which was like two hours) watching their exchange and went to university feeling like shit  I don't want to hurt again  Since at the time we didn't really know how the whole Dread Wolf thing would play out before Trespasser (after Inquisition ended we didn't even knwo how exactly Solas related to Dread Wolf; whether he was like Flemythal or else) I recall people learned something about marrying companions and I recall some people wanting some closure with Solas started believing that it means that Solas will return and pop the question

Well, unless they're trolling us or something, the achievement we get for the last chapter in main quest (assumedly)... Part 14. The Dread Wolf rises.
...well, it kinda-sorta seems to go in direction of confirming Sandal's prophecy, methinks? Although, I also assume there's a high chance that Bioware will do something unexpected or subversive with this.
Also, it goes without saying that we're obviously going to have some sort of confrontation with the Dread Wolf, aside from the one at the start of the game, when we stop the ritual. For me it was more about confirming we fight Solas, not that he succeeded or not in lifting the Veil.
"Faced down demons, dragons, darkspawn, and even the Dread Wolf." IMO facing/confronting the Dread Wolf doesn't necessarily mean fighting (and it may be dependent of our choices in the game), but I do find it interesting that regardless of how that facing will end, the Dread Wolf will rise anyway, in one way or another. I have a few ideas of what it may mean, but we're so close to release now, I'm not sure it's worth speculating too much about it. Not really? The Inquisition crest's most important element is the eye, and the image lacks that element. It looks more like a star, or a bright point of light. With that said - Visus, which is where Inquisition's symbol derives from - is a symbol much older than people remember where it came from, and I'm curious whether we'll ever learn what it originally meant. In one of their Q&A's Corinne did suggest there are some... decisions we can make that will heavily impact the world and companions, so I wouldn't be surprised that we get a pretty different route, at least for our protagonist(s). I mean, I am still silently rooting for "since we have two protags in this game - an old and new - it'd be so cool if one of them could make choices which will make them an obstacle"

That's what we're all here for. If Veilguard delivers that, then it is another solid 10/10 chapter in the Solavellan journey. No, I genuinely want a happy ending for both. Pain and tragedy work in tandem with happiness. Pain for the sake of pain is one dimensional, I think.

Nice! I have the 4th of November off, but since I don't know if my current PC can manage DAV I decided to not take more... however, I have 17 days of uninterrupted vacation around Christmas, so I feel like I can scratch the itch then if necessary (and if my PC isn't up to snuff I have time to upgrade).

I've rewatched the Solas bit several times and I can't see it. I'm not saying it wouldn't be possible for him to get it, I just don't see it. Also, I never doubted his ability to get out of the Fade but when he chose to. I imagine timing is everything bearing in mind the other two must hate his guts.
Of course it is possible that the others managed to do something to the Veil and that is why Minrathous looks like hell and everything is tinged red. However, that could equally be because they opened a portal to the Void, where the Blight originated (according to Dalish lore) and that is why everything looks like it does.

And his DAI clothes probably had a little to do with 'hiding in plain sight,' but also...that's just who he really is. A nerdy mage dude.
