Cullen: Gryffindor Josephine: Ravenclaw Leliana: Ravenclaw Dorian: Ravenclaw Vivienne: Slytherin Solas: Ravenclaw Cassandra: Gryffindor Blackwall: Gryffindor Bull: Ravenclaw Sera: Gryffindor Varric: The hat would suggest Ravenclaw but he'd pick Gryffindor Cole: Hufflepuff Aveline: Gryffindor Carver: Gryffindor Fenris: Ravenclaw (probably controversial...) Isabela: Slytherin Zevran: Slytherin (throwing him in there) Bethany: Hufflepuff Anders: Hufflepuff (he's a healer...) Merrill: Ravenclaw Gotta disagree with a few of those. Varric is a Hufflepuff. The man pretends not to care but he cares so much. Carver is a Slytherin. He is driven by his ambition - to be better than his sisters, to prove himself as a warrior, to be anything. Anders is another Slytherin 'These cunning folk use any means to achieve their ends' suits a man who willingly took a Spirit into him, and later manipulated his friends into helping him blow up a church. Merrill, surprise, I've got as a Slytherin yet again. Her main flaw is her pride, after all. Leliana is a textbook Slytherin, but I do agree she'd be a good fit for Ravenclaw (along with Anders and Merrill, but all three of them suit Slytherin so much more) Isabela is one I'd put as another 'puff. She's not really that ambitious, and her fighting style is one of the more straightforward and honest rogue styles. Her main philosophy is 'everyone should be free', which strikes me a Hufflepuff attitude. Plus, she's also found helping women around Kirkwall. Zev, again, a Hufflepuff. What I think of when I think of Zev is his loyality.

Her main philosophy is 'everyone should be free', which strikes me a Hufflepuff attitude. Plus, she's also found helping women around Kirkwall. Zev, again, a Hufflepuff. What I think of when I think of Zev is his loyality. Ohh these are also great. I can agree with you on Varric. That's a good one. Carver I can also mildly agree on, although I did pause at "sisters" for a half second; even though I've played several female Hawkes mine is usually male and my brain always defaults to male, so at first I was thinking... is there another Hawke sister I know nothing about???? Anders, I don't know, I just have to disagree with. Anders MINUS Justice is a clever man; this alone could put him in Ravenclaw. But, as I mentioned, he's also a healer, and he believes above all else that the downtrodden (particularly the captive mages in the Circles, and remember, Anders lived in the two most restrictive and horrific Circles) need to be supported. Justice corrupted this fervent, compassionate wish. I don't see ANYTHING in Anders to suggest that he is ambitious or hungry for power. But that's just my reading of him! Merrill unleashes Pride (or whatever that demon was called) in her pursuit of scholarship. Again, I don't think she had power or personal ambition in mind. It was a relentless thirst for knowledge. Yes, she thought the acquisition of that knowledge would help her people, but I don't think she saw herself as anything beyond a quest-seeking scholar. Isabela can be relentlessly mercenary, although she does show some sympathy towards women who are wronged by men. (Of course, she also rescues those slaves.) Isabela DOES enjoy power and actively pursues it; she is passionate about getting a ship, and not just so she can sail the seas; she could do that by joining up with any band of sailors or mercenaries. She wants to be the captain! So, nah, I definitely think she's more Slytherin. Zevran... isn't he the one character who can turn against you in DAO? LOL Not that I've ever experienced that since I always romance him, but... he's very practical. Still, I'm not sure he has a lust for power, so... damn he's kind of hard to place!

Nah, Ravenclaws is more for the academic, book smart people, while Slytherin gears more towards the those who are clever and can think on their feet. Cassandra doesn't belong there either. She would fit much better in Gryffindor. Since we're on this topic, what houses would your guys' inquisitors belong to? Both for Hogwarts and Ilvermorny. I took a test for my Revas Surana Lavellan for Ilvermorny house and apparently she is Wumpus. So she's Slytherin/Wumpus person. Alin Lavellan (naive and gentle Solasmancer): Hufflepuff Auren Lavellan (bad ass murder machine): Gryffindor Talan Lavellan (king of bad jokes): Hufflepuff Pell Lavellan (Bullmancing mage too curious and clever for his own good): Ravenclaw As for the companions/advisors... Cullen: Gryffindor Josephine: Ravenclaw Leliana: Ravenclaw Dorian: Ravenclaw Vivienne: Slytherin Solas: Ravenclaw Cassandra: Gryffindor Blackwall: Gryffindor Bull: Ravenclaw Sera: Gryffindor Varric: The hat would suggest Ravenclaw but he'd pick Gryffindor Cole: Hufflepuff Aveline: Gryffindor Carver: Gryffindor Fenris: Ravenclaw (probably controversial...) Isabela: Slytherin Zevran: Slytherin (throwing him in there) Bethany: Hufflepuff Anders: Hufflepuff (he's a healer...) Merrill: Ravenclaw Josie for Hufflepuff! Why put Bull in Ravenclaw?

LOL Not that I've ever experienced that since I always romance him, but... he's very practical. Still, I'm not sure he has a lust for power, so... damn he's kind of hard to place! Yeah, sorry. I reject the 'default is male' for video games, so when I'm talking about default PCs (the warden, Hawke, Shepard, the Inquisitor...) I use she/her pronouns. I know it's easier to use they/them but it's personal stance against a very male dominated view of gaming. Zev can turn against you, but that's because you did nothing to earn his trust. His loyality to the Crows, and his boyfriend, trumps his loyality to a woman who has given him no reason to trust her. So to me Zev's defining trait will alway be his loyality. Merrill is almost entirely driven by her pride. I think there's a good argument to putting her in Ravenclaw, since it's her desire for knowledge that consumes her, but it's also her desire to prove that she can save the Dalish, that she alone is right. (I also generally really dislike the way people overlook these parts of Merrill in favour of talking about how cute and sweet she is. That's not aimed at you, it's just a general trend I've seen in DA). While I hate the entire Circle system I have to point out: Kinloch Hold is probably one of the nicer Circles out there. Bela is a pretty hard character to place. But I feel her longing for a ship is less for power, but more to be in control of her own life. Her mother followed the Qun (something she finds disgusting), and sold her into marriage at a young age. She never had a choice in what she wanted to do until she got a hold of the Siren's Call. Like Zev she's also very loyal, and returns with the Tome if her approval is high enough. (and I also dislike the way people tend to place the 'straightfoward good' characters Gryffindors and 'morally grey' characters as Slytherin, because it falls into the Slytherin = bad, Gryffindors = good. Again, not aimed at you. This is a general trend I've seen in many fandoms while having this discussion.) Happy New Year Solavellans and friends ^^ Hope you had fun with whatever you did for the bells, and that this year treats you well Happy New Year to you, too threadad. Hope you had a fun Hogmanay!

I was thinking "Wow, she has an amazing voice, too; so passionate!" LMAO Still beautiful cosplay. I'd just never heard the inquisitor's voice in that scene (obviously male inquisitor is silent cause... he's naughty and not supposed to be there lol) The VA delivers that line to perfection. Shit.

My dreams have been filled with elves, it seems. First Fenris. That was awesome cute. Then Zevran. That was awesome sexy. And last night I got Solas. We went to an Orlesian Museum together and while having a picnic, I flirted with him. Then he brought up Cullen; didn't I like him better? I kissed him on the nose and said, and maybe I like you too. He was startled and interested. Bah humbug. I wanted my next Dragon Age dream to be about Cullen. Finally got my dream about Cullen! We both died in a weird Zombie Apocolypse. It was very sad. *that's what I get.*

The closest I got to a DA dream was getting into my Lavellan's shoe and was about to fight a Dragon (the one with green-ish colour) Quickly sprang the barier out of panic and frantically looking for my jar of bees while screaming. ... in short, it was anything BUT heroic XD I'm sure Solas DOES NOT aprrove and gets into thinking that Thedas is doomed

I kept having a recurring dream about looking for Dorian deep underground and then only a couple of months later they released the Descent and I had a complete feeling of Deja Vu because my dream looked like the places we visited in the DLC, particularly the lift and the places of near darkness, and not the Deep Roads of previous games. So now I'm waiting for the dream that has me looking for Solas, because may be my sub-conscious will be able to work out where we are going with the story in a way my conscious mind cannot.

Would have put Leliana as a Ravenclaw (intelligence) and Sera as a Hufflepuff ( excellent finder). My Inquisitor is a Gryffindor, hands down! Very brave and daring, and she did like to bend the rules. She does love studying history though, so she does have a bit of Ravenclaw in her. I think my Warden would have been a Hufflepuff; she was really studious in the Circle, but the most defining features of her personality was her kindness, honor and loyalty. My Hawke... hmmm tough one... I can see aspects from all houses in her... I guess in the end I would say Ravenclaw, mostly because she was pretty intellectual and witty and loved books. Can't say where she would have belonged at Ilvermorny though.

Well, Andromeda has an actual release date now of March 21st. I suppose it would be unreasonable of me to think they'll give us any Dragon Age news on March 22nd so I will graciously allow them an ENTIRE week. I will expect DA news on March 28th. Ok not really but hopefully sometime after March they'll start talking about DA again. Pleasepleaseplease! I know, I know ... there's also a new IP in the works. Don't care about new IP, care about Dragon Age! *pout*

And I know we're not supposed to expect anything sooner than spring 2019 (that seems also to be most accepted estimate?), but I'm still hoping for something like... summer 2018 ???

It really is hard to give a crud about the new IP when they've kept it so under wraps. If they scrapped the whole thing next week I would not shed a tear. DA4 on the other hand...they can't come out with news soon enough to suit me. Have they even officially confirmed there will be a DA4 yet? I know there have been teasers (or what we think are teasers), but I wasn't sure if I'd missed something. I am hoping for more about it by the end of the summer. Fingers crossed that they don't screw up their handling of Solas. He is for me the most important npc in the next game. If he's even there, I suppose it's possible the next game could deal with the Qunari & Wardens or something while Solas quietly plots in the background.

I think I remember a tweet when one of the devs explictly refused to confirm DA4 existed? like "what DA4?" I don't know how long are they planning to go on with this strategy... Now I'm all hyped with MEA and I'm remembering how much fun it was too learning about DAI and I can only imagine how it's going to be hanging around here waiting for news considering how high the stakes are now for me too with Solas's plot unresolved Btw, I speculated for a time with the idea that in DA4 we migh have to deal first with some middleman s Solas confrontation would be postponed to DA5, but a few day ago I've read that Weekes confirmed that DA4 would be the end of Solas's storyline??? I was out the loop for a long time and missed a lot of things, so I don't know

I feel like we'll get some Dragon Age information at E3 this year. That would have given Mass Effect Andromeda ample time to shine, and I imagine they must be close to a point where they want to at least announce the next Dragon Age. I personally would expect the game in 2018; 2019 would mean a rather long development time. I must have missed what made people so sure that the new IP would be the next game released, but it seems odd that they would hold off on Dragon Age for so long. I'd think we'd get DA4 and then the new IP.
As for Solas, I've seen no tweet from Weekes but I also think our final decision for Solas will come at the end of DA4. My prediction is that whatever he plans to do WILL happen at least to some extent no matter what. And that will be what we face in DA5, which is presumably the last Dragon Age game. But maybe at the end of DA4, we can either redeem or kill him. If he's eventually killed, he set it off himself. If redeemed, it's possible that it's too late for him to stop it or he has a second in command of sorts that will not be swayed and does it for him.
