The Alliance it self was the primary military power for humanity. Do you think individual countries still held some military power? I would think at least they still maintained and earth based Military. Ground troops, mechanized forces, air force and the sorts. It's never really brought up though. How extensive do you think it would be though? Although the Alliance garrisons troops on many colonies do you think countries Like the U.S., China, Russia, Etc. Garrison their own forces on colonies with strong connections to them? Just something i thought about because in Lore they mention during the First contact war the nations of Earth bickered as to who would lead the attack and then the Alliance took charge.

I believe it is mentioned in a codex entry somewhere that the individual nations still have their own military, at least to some degree. IIRC there even was an (ME2?) planet description, stating a Chinese military actions in one of their colonies (or a shared colony).
