www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Syber_Vapor_XtremeSo, just a couple of questions about this build. How often does AMD, GeForce, and Intel release new video cards and processors? I didn't find a lot of YouTube reviews on this console (besides written). I don't know if you remember, but I was interested in getting a legit gaming PC, but then I found this that is A a hell of a lot cheaper (getting it pre-built) and B easier for me to understand. When it comes to AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB GDDR5 Video Card and the GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X (Pascal)[VR Ready] card are there differences between the two high end cards? Because the 480 is a hell of a cheaper then the 1080. To note: my TV can do 1080p at 60hz if that's going to make a difference. Also, the TV I have is old (can't remember how old) I don't know if age is a factor. How long could this particular build last before upgrading it? Thanks. Okay, so the link doesn't work, but here is the Config number: 1J7TK0

That's not a console hybrid. That's basically just a PC with Windows 10, so I don't know how it makes it any easier for you to "understand" just because it's in a smaller PC case. Regarding the RX 480 and the GTX 1080. The RX 480 is a mid-range card and the GTX 1080 is a high-end card. Here are some benchmark numbers for reference. It doesn't have the GTX 1080, but the 1080 is roughly 20-25% faster than the 1070, so you can just do the math. However, if you're just gonna hook it up to a 1080p TV then all you need an RX 480. The GTX 1080 is waaay overkill for the job, but go for it if you want to build a more future proof machine and you have extra money to blow. Since you sound like you want to use it for living room gaming and double as a media center, I'd highly recommend getting it with a Steam controller and use Steam's Big Picture mode for your Steam games.

Good post, but screw the Steam controller I'd give away mine if I could. It's worse than even gaming with a trackball. Get a XOne or some Logitech/generic type of controller. Something that actually has both joysticks, instead of that stupid thumbpad. You have to lift your thumb every time you want to slide/move to the side...while a stick can just held down that way.

I usually just use my corded Xbox 360 controller. It's plug and play. No driver installation required and it works for everything. If I want to go cordless, I use my Xbox One or Dualshock 4 with a Bluetooth receiver. I actually quite like the Steam controller after trying it out, but I really have no need for it.
