Stumbled on a nostalgic tweet about Andromeda with Andromeda OST and i just felt so sad, i enjoyed the game, the concept of going to another galaxy was beyond great and the music is so great.
It just feels so sad there wont be an Andromeda 2, hell not even DLCs...

I got really nostalgic on the Memories missions. We do not know yet about the fate, but hope remains for MEA2, for sure. (My signature )

I haven't given up all hope for a new MEA, though it will not be tomorrow. I think Mass Effect will be a force to powerful to resist, especially now that Casey is back. Only a matter of time and frankly (as I said before) Bioware will need sonething they can count on in "the hopper" when Anthem the Destiny clone totally flops!

It just feels so sad there wont be an Andromeda 2, hell not even DLCs... Though it seems unlikely, it's still unconfirmed that there will be no MEA2. However, even if it does happen, we're many years away from it since it's not even a work in progress.

The only thing we do know is we will have to wait for now. Mainly because right now Bioware have other priorities such as Anthem and DA4. Hopefully once those games are out we might hear something.

It's a sad day when there are no more KOTORs and MEs being made but dragon age is still going. The fantasy genre just isn't nearly as appealing as the sci-fi genre imo. Let the waiting begin I suppose.

Let the waiting begin I suppose. I've played and read my fair share of (High) Fantasy, and even dabbled in Sci-fi/Cyberpunk, and to me, Sci-fi makes a more compelling gaming experience, whilst Fantasy is better suited to the realms of pen and paper. This is, of course, purely subjective, and if the state of the market is anything to go by, Indie devs know this, but the Corporate Monkeys refuse to see it. There's a lot of Indies and small studios trying to fill the niche, but few have the Talent, and even fewer have the budget to really pull it off like the BioWare of old.

I've said before that I prefer a SciFi setting over fantasy, but I think Dragon Age's stronger cohesion and writing is why it fared more favorably as a whole in the end.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing... but the problem for me with the indie space games is it seems like they are all just games where you're either in the spaceship the entire time doing dogfights and such or very light on anything other than just exploring different planets. Also adding that they are all on small budgets so they don't look super great either. Got spoiled by the BioWare of old and haven't found anything to live up to those games since. =/

When Anthem flops that will be the end of BioWare. So let's hope Anthem is a huge succes with millions of people spending dozens of dollars on microtransactions every month. That will give BioWare the time and money to make a new Mass Effect. At the same time, do we need a whole new game to keep Mass Effect alive? A lot of trilogies stayed alive without new books/movies being made. Perhaps we need more spin off stuff.

It's no secret I haven't enjoyed the game, in contrast for me it feels so distant. Like if it were released so long, when it was actually released the past year. It's weird. Not gonna lie, I'm on a big let down when it comes to ME as a franchise currently (mainly because I don't much trust Bioware anymore), I used to remember the franchise with a smile, now it's like having memories of dead franchises like STALKER. That's just how I feel though.

Only a matter of time and frankly (as I said before) Bioware will need sonething they can count on in "the hopper" when Anthem the Destiny clone totally flops! He never left if you ask me. Not truly, he was just on the shadows working on Anthem and now is "back" again. It's too fast for someone actually leaving, and why leaving only to come back so fast at all? But anyways. Big papa EA is waiting with the double-barrel for BW to make another mistake and who knows... They're the second largest and more important company under EAs wing I think, but still. EA is not particularly subtle after all. I was never in favor of Spin-offs if they're something else than DLCs for main titles (like, they could've done a spin off DLC for ME3 about the first contact). But at this stage, I'd almost take anything providing is good.

You think EA will want to take time away from a microtransaction gold mine to make another SP game in a series that just had a less than stellar entry? I think not.

It's not as if this would be BioWare's sole IP if it succeeds, and once the game is complete, it would just be support through the life of the game along with potential expansions, hopefully not with Destiny-level hurtful pricing. Besides, Mass Effect has already gone neck-deep in multiplayer since 3, so it's not as if that IP doesn't still have potential to keep making money through microtransactions. I mean hell, ME3MP is somehow still alive.

Hmmm... If Anthem is a huge success thanks to multiplayer and micro transactions, then be prepared to play "Mass Effect: "The Micro Transaction Galaxy", of Dragon Age "The Dragon LootBox Imperium". Both will be multiplayer only (with maybe a tiny microscopic Single Player Part to shut down critics), and you can only play the full game after buying 20 DLC's and 200 "Golden Stash Boxes". This will cost you only an meager $199(+++) of "Platinum Heaven Coins" (only at pre-order of course, after that the price will triple or more).
Yes - I am cynical and not hopeful...... At all...
Can you blame me?

Can you blame me? What would really determine its success is whether or not the game is good enough to retain its install base and continue to see a growing number of players. If the game just doesn't have it, it'll see a drop-off at some point and there won't be many people in active lobbies. After all, microtransactions ain't gonna pay themselves. ME3MP's success didn't result in MEA becoming an MMO of some sort, and while EA, in its infinite wisdom, decided to have MP shoehorned into Inquisition as well, it doesn't seem to have a meaningful effect on the core game, at least outside of certain combat gameplay elements, and after ME3's backlash over the EMS and the endings, it seems like they stayed well away from having one affect the other too much. If it means anything, I don't see a serious pattern that BioWare has had it with singleplayer games. I guess we'll see what the next Dragon Age is like, but I'm looking forward to it.

I've just started revisiting this game after being away for a few weeks to play other things, and I really still enjoy it quite a bit after all this time. I do wish Paesano had more distinct set pieces to accompany certain scenes in the game other than variations of A Better Beginning and Trail of Hope, but I love those two themes above a few that I've considered all-time favorites from my ME album collection. I'm sad to see support die so soon, but I hope that maybe this is a learning experience that sees a better ME (or other) game in the future.

I believe that, regardless of the success of Anthem, and if BW survives that experience, any new release of Mass Effect will be different to what we are used to today. Not that I like it, but the industry is evolving (or devolving, pending on your point of view) that will force Bioware to somewhat align. The question will be, how far do they bend (sell out). Not sure a full SP pitch would make it through an EA production meeting today, even before Anthem is released.
Even with MEA, it was much more open world and explory than the trilogy. Though it is not an MMO (dear God, just say no), how far of a leap in production work is it really? That said, I believe someone here made a good point, if the Anthem formula scores big in the pocket book, count on a strong lean toward using it for a new Mass Effect and Dragon Age, or any new titles with the Bioware name on it. This would be a shame, as the character building and story depth will be lost without putting the SP first and MP second.

Yeah, if anthem is a success, it'll definitely reflect on any new Mass Effect game. Loot Boxes will be everywhere.

The same goes for the MP component in DA:I. But times have changed. Now EA is selling primary micro transactions and loot boxes, with some games tacked on it. And it will only get worse and worse, I am afraid. I am now at the point that I not longer expect anything good from "Big Publishers", or even a complete game. Sad as it is, I only expect some basic framework (for a full game price) that can be used to hark money in, because you have to pay lots of extra money to experience the "full" game. Every time now a game comes out from them it's "yeah - Nice, but what's the catch?". My eyes are more and more on the sub-AAA publishers to get at least a full game for a decent price. But - As I said.. Maybe I am getting too old, and have a too good memory. You know - From the times you really got a full game for a decent price, without any hooks and claws to drain more money from you. I have been playing computer games from the moment I could program them in on my old Acorn Atom (1979). Hell - I have even played some "Tic-Tac-Toe" on my first CPU board (1802 CPU Super Elf - 1976), so maybe I do not longer fit in this "micro transaction" universe. Time to go?

I just hope that with Anthem's success, ME will not include any Loot Boxes to feed EA's greedy behinds even more. Let that sh*t out of ME, for God's sake. Andromeda wasn't the worst game I've ever played but certainly not the best either, so the next time, they better put some effort into the game. It was obvious that Anthem was their focus, not ME:A
