I want to see if I can learn to solo Silver (to do the challenges fast with some earnings) My preferred characters are H!Vanguard, A!Sentinel (I can solo Bronze on them) and I like playing but not really good with H!Eng, B!Scrapper and S!Architect. My weapons are Silver level with some variants unlocked, I favor shotguns & AR, can’t play with SR (no aim skills)
What would be the best map/enemy set up to start trying and which boosters/ammo?

I'd go with Asari Sentinel, specced for combo explosions. Unfortunately I cant remember which guns are silver and so on, Siphons do help as always. Automatic Pistols is where it is in this game, if you have fex. Hesh/Scattershot paired with some faster pistol, you're in for a treat. I'd start with Sandstorm and climb to the top of left side building (view from LZ) to the far end. Here you can camp a lot, see in both directions and can drop down to the left side to get more ammo, climb back to top. (See Vanelsa's solos for help ). Enemy.. Kett are easiest, except you need to watch out for Wraiths coming to hit you cloaked. Boosters, well these are debatable if needed on silver, but equipment should be used; Structural ergonomics if you have it, for the boom booms to happen faster, or then power efficiency. If you can tell the guns you have it would help

I would second the recommendation of Asari Sentinel. Her combo explosions can catapult enemies off the map in very amusing ways, and the energy drain adds some nice survivability which you might appreciate when soloing.
Maybe you could consider using a pistol over an AR? Then you could use the Expert package gear for better pistol damage and more boom boom, and in my opinion pistols are a stronger category than ARs.
If you prefer ARs and how they handle, try the Raptor sniper rifle if you have it. Yes, it's a sniper rifle, but it has the rapid fire of an AR and does not rely on aimed headshots to take out enemies.

Oh, it sort of starting to come back to me...
From the machine guns, I have non-variant Charger S II, Hornet III and sidewinder III . Iirc i favoured Hornet.
And from siphons I have Carniflex and Phalanx to VII.
Edit: oh, I have Scattershot II, but it listed as a shotgun, not pistol, and no Hesh.
I remember Asari Senti doing really well, but I had much easier time on the VG yesterday, but Asari pulled two hacks, while Vg none, so that might have been it. Vg had Jugg Shield I on, and the Asari -Structural Egronomics I on.

If you can stand the 3-round-burst, go with the Hornet. It hits hard and is super accurate even at long range.
The Scattershot is also pretty good and definitely worth a consideration.

Though the matches will take longer since it’s a bigger map, I vote for Firebase Sandstorm. If you want to use the Human Vanguard, you can park yourself on the roof like LegendCNCD says, the back of Building 37, or inside Building 8. Enemies will come at you from mostly one direction. Building 8 has two entrances, but the room is so small it might as well be one. All locations have cover (look for the Shield icon next to your Health/Shields indicator), which lessens damage you’ll take from enemies. Spec for Lifting Shockwave and Seismic Nova so you can neutralize any health only enemies that come your way. Both of these powers are very useful at preventing things from entering Hacks and Uploads. Charge when you need to regain shields or to detonate lifted enemies. As you gain more experience, you can start using Charge more offensively and to move all around the map (taking on targets one at a time or in small groups, never large groups). On Silver, you might also be able to incorporate melee with Barrier 5B Barrier Drain to regain 15% shields on every punch. Here is a sample build with your Hornet III (long range) and Charger S II (close range): goo.gl/mWMN7gGood luck!

HSentThat would be how I would spec for a Silver solo (I prefer Human to Asari, as I prefer Barricade, and the button layout on Controller), also, I prefer Zero with a Shotgun for soloing, but objectives can be questionably placed. Alternatives, the Angaran Insurgent can be very strong, even at Rank I (If you have rank 2, spec EMP on Trip Mines, the stun is AMAZING on all difficulties). Trip Mines can be used for area defense (place on walls in chokepoints) or as Grenades (learn to aim in front of feet), great damage, and with EMP stun, they're insanely good. Shield Boost keeps you alive, Scattershot (and shotguns in general) are AMAZING on him. Even at low levels/ranks, this is a VERY strong setup that I would argue has a place on any team, on any difficulty. One of my favourite characters. Still, it's up to you, you WILL ALWAYS do better with a character that you know, like, and enjoy, than another OP one that you don't. And besides, enjoy the game, play what you like. If you do have/unlock the Insurgent and give it a try, keep Turret up at all times (even without speccing it) the aggro split is invaluable (especially when soloing), and learn to use Trip Mines both defensively, and offensively, especially if you decide to try soloing Zero or Magma (Trip Mines really shine there, imho). Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Sandstorm, but as you can see from Vanelsa's vids, it works well for solos.

I do not mind the H!Sentinel, but prefer Asari because of the portable shield & she is the only Asari I can stand. So, i will stick with her as my Asari. Ideally, I want a character of each race I can play well. (Sorry, I know it sounds insane, but yeah... I am me)
Speaking of which, I do have an Angaran Insurgent level 1/III - the problem will be grinding anyone new to level 20 from level 1, b/c well, I dunno if I can manage to solo bronze w/o veteran bonuses and w/o the full set up. I should give it a shot to leveling on solo bronze, though for him and the Sala Architect, to have a level 20 of each species. I don't remember being particularly deadly with trip mines in ME3MP, though. Probbaly be a miracle if I make it to Wave 3.
Anyway, the card I got today was a BScrapper VI, but the gold box is back in rotation - or maybe they are always there now, so I am now incentivized to get those challenges done to collect all the gold cards.

Charger S II or Hornet III and Scattershot and you're set. Pistols for far away, Scattershot for closer and watch them melt

With the Batarian Scrapper, you barely have to use your weapons. Snap Freeze or Flak Cannon anything that comes your way. And anything that gets close can be falcon punched. Extremely powerful character! goo.gl/8WCZeb

When you get something like a Hurricane or Rozerad, Rank 6A Sustained Fire is a pretty good evolution. But, you'll have to sacrifice something to get it. I personally dump Concussive Shot.

Thank you, everyone You'll also want to check out my post where I list all of my Gold (and Platinum) solos (on YouTube). I have soloed with every character on Gold and have at least one solo on every map and against each faction. bsn.boards.net/thread/13715/gold-platinum-chronicles-telemetry-analysisThe strategy would be the same on Silver as it is on Gold.

Okay, I think I have a bunch of things to try out, even if I can’t find pugs right away or get kicked out from the lobbies. Thank you, everyone I know a few lobbies on PC that wouldn't kick you. And I can only assume from Vanelsa's helpful disposition on the forums that there'd be a lobby on XBox that would be fine with you. (The amusing part now would be to find out you play on PS4 ) If you play on PC, feel free to add me (Same ID as here), and I'll be happy to play with you. Just keep in mind, if the full-group is around, it's likely to be Gold/Plat, but if it's just us, I'm happy to play Silver (or wherever else you are most comfortable).

Thanks, I am on PC, but I am temp voiceless till I get a wire replacement for the michrophone jack. I can manage Gold with boosts in a pug, and I do want to see if I can find games, just wanted to have a back up option so I do not sit around watching the screen instead of playing. My tag is DomiSotto but if it says SP, it’s my kiddo trying stuff out.

Just being a considerate player is more than enough. Don't be like that Krogan PUG today who ran away after clearing the area around my corpse, it gives me a sad Seriously though, just have fun and stuff, it's a game, afterall I'm also pondering if you have NAT-type issues, most PC players aren't aware of such things, but they can cause a lot of difficulties in player compatibility.

I do dispute the "middle of nowhere" bit, as I can't stand city life personally, and struggle to find many arguements for enduring that crap. Sacrifices must be made in life. Either one lives in the city, or one deals with supplies of all kinds (include internet connection). Some of the most fun that I have had in ME3MP has been duos, so I do recommend taking them up on this offer (MEAMP may be a totally different game, but the same potential for that perfectly synchronized duo is still there).

At least we are sort of to the south from the middle of nowhere. I'll be playing for a few weeks, I think, till I miss Ezio Auditore. I had super-good time yesterday, really hitting all the right spots with adrenaline and wanting goodies.... That Angara Insurgent and Salarian Architect are cewl. I should try to find my legs in ME3MP too seeing that both modules are now pretty much in the same place in terms of updates.

Good times are had with Ezio, I sometimes miss him, too, but too lazy to replay it all (He's a bit whiny in AC2, Brotherhood can get a little tedious, and the abundance of guns and grenades in Revelations can be frustrating, but I do love them all, great games all-round).
