So, anyone else rebinds keys in other games according to his/her mp scheme..?
Case in point: I have powers set to Q, ctrl and mouse 4, melee to F. Since ME3 became the one game I always come back to, literally first thing I do in any other game is to rebind the keys accordingly, be it Witcher, Wolf, Division, Destiny, Battlefront, AssCreed, Elite D or anything else that uses any kind of power mechanics (which is basically every game)... Sometimes it does create some sort of funny/obnoxious problems, but I try to stick to it as much as possible. Who's in the same boat?

The only thing consistent is W A S D R SPACE CTRL SHIFT in pretty much every game. Everything else is variable to some degree.

I try and keep things as similar to ME3 as possible, but everything else seems to be way more complicated and my poor old fingers get very confused

Deus Ex:HR helped me with using some non-ME3 keys for sprinting and whatnot, and if I struggled at all anymore with the omni-button I would split the sprint off to the control or shift button.
That said, yes OP - Melee is always F now, Q is always self-reviving, and my 2 side buttons on the mouse are used for Ammo replenishment (Clip Pack in ME3) and healing (Ops Pack).
If I can, I remap main powers to the numbers keys (1,2,3) - my fingers are used to that stretch now.

I play on a Controller, we're not allowed to change our bindings. (Though some level of trickery is possible on PC)
Yes, I did just take this opportunity to whine about Controllers not being rebindable.

One of these days I'll try to get a proper desktop setup and dust off the M+K skills I had in the 90's. I remember having every key used in some games, usually a keybind to send a team textchat message ("I'm on it!") in lieu of proper voice.

Being cack-handed, I switch 'F' (melee) for 'Q' because it's more convenient. Also, and I don't know if this is just me, I never feel comfortable with the 'S'-element in 'WASD' (as my fingers and thumb feel cramped), so I always -- no matter the game -- switch "S" for "X".

I usually try to stick with the same key bindings as much as possible in any shooter-ish game. The layout doesn't come from ME though but from much earlier games. Counter-Strike (the first one, not the crap they play nowadays) probably influenced it the most as I played it competitively and quite some time went into finetuning the config and autoexec files back then (within the limitations of the league or tournament we were playing). Obviously there were no powers but we had to write (or copy/paste) our own scripts for buying weapons and gear as it was not implemented in the game by default and these commands required some keybinding as well. Also we needed keys for the demo recording scripts. When it comes to shooters with RPG elements I usually like to put the main ones on my mouse like the thumb buttons or even the mouse wheel. One of the biggest differences between me and other people is usually that I could never get used to the W-A-S-D layout for movement at all. To me it feels like I have to break my fingers, it's very akward and uncomfortable and so I put the main movement keys (forward, left, right) in one row - in my case it's a Q-W-E-S layout then which feels way more natural to me because I use these 3 keys the most and move backwards the least amount of time. A and D (as well as Y X C below) usually fill the role of some weapon hotkeys or in ME3MP's case A is rockets, D is ops pack, Y is medigel and X is ammo pack (note: my Y is where the US layout has the Z).
As for controllers: I had an adapter on my PS3 years ago that allowed me to plug in and use a wired X360 controller on the PS3 and this adapter also allowed me to rebin the keys, although it was a bit annoying to do this and I usually only swapped R1/R2 and L1/L2 in most game - you know, because the L2/R2 triggers on the X360 controller are actually good and not as fucked up as they were on the PS3 controller (which everybody knew about and thus put the aiming and shooting mechanics on the L1/R1 instead of L2/R2. On the PC I had the Xbox One Elite Controller for some time and you could rebind keys in an app as well. Didn't use it much and sold it and got a Xbox One S controller instead.

Controller support for PC is getting pretty good these days, with DInput to XInput conversion programs if you prefer non-XBox controllers. Not all programs natively support XInput by default, but most DO have the support for it buried in their programming, and a simple mod usually activates it. The only real difficulty is in getting a non-dinosaur PC, which isn't even that difficult for something like ME3. Just need to decide if you want a neat and tidy SmallFormFactor PC, or something that isn't so restricted in part compatibility.

Yep, although the ecksbawks controller does just fine by me and I had a few controllers already. My computer works as the media center for the whole house and sits next to my TV. That said, it's not a bad rig for gaming. Weakest link is the i5-6600 as the 16GB RAM and the 1080TI kinda eclipse it performance-wise. However, I did play on an old Acer PC with integrated horseshit parts and it ran ME3 brilliantly. I'm happy to see some of the console folks make the jump to PC. A computer capable of running ME3 can be obtained on the cheap. I hated WASD, instead using the arrow keys. The numpad, RShift, RCtrl, Enter, Delete, Pg Dn, Insert were used for various support on my older FPS games. My brother and I both played this way and were challenged to 1v1 each other on WASD setups. Spectators commented on how inept my brother was, so he changed his handle to "Inept." To make fun of the fact that I kept missing my strafe button, I changed my handle to Inert. ...that was '99.

I always play with Arrow keys, since I'm old school. Numpad for powers and stuff, mouse shoulder buttons for melee and reload.

was old school too, used to use qaop for directions and space for pewpewing before the mouse was even born. At that time, putting all your moving skills (4 keys) in one hand (3 fingers) seemed pretty silly

Definitely try to change key bindings to ME3MP style in other games. It's just the most comfortable for me now.
