For those that think Liara won’t have a relevant role in NME: it seems that Gamble shares Walters’ fascination with Liara. Obviously.

So... Who wants to bet that Liara ends up with god like powers in MENext? I don't think they'd go THAT far. Expecially because of what would likely happen if she'll get godlike powers...becoming an antagonist later on.

Heh, what a pointless question. Might as well say “It’s over” at that point. Depends. He could debate 'closure' because the next game wouldn't be the end of the Andromeda setting, if they do return to it in NME.

Closure? How about explaining who informed the SR2 Anderson was dead. Why is the character putting up Shepard's nameplate, if green or blue is chosen without a body? Remember what Anderson said in ME2? We thought you were dead without making any effort to confirm Shepard was dead. Who sent the message to Hackett saying someone made it up the beam after hearing people on the comms saying no one made it? If the green is chosen, does that mean thing not only controls the reapers, but organics as well? If not, what purpose does it serve? What's the purpose of having the memorial scene if Shepard survives? Why are there no quarian ships seen flying by the relay, if destroy is chosen, and of course they survive Rannoch?

Well, I guess for whatever canonization of the endings they'll go for NME, we might get additional informations. Not much more then that, I think. Again though, I doubt Gamble was looking to give some closure on twitter in regards of Andromeda.

That response makes me wary more than hopeful, since it comes across as if he thinks there is nothing left to close on in Andromeda aka no need to explore it more.

I see it different, as I already stated before, but in any case, if you want the game to be set in Andromeda/following Andromeda's plot, I think it's best to remain cautious. And the same goes if one hopes for a continuation of ME3 or the setting being the MW. I feel like they could throw many curveballs and go for some odd reasoning and directions for the next game, so it'd be best to not expect anything 'concrete' in regards of plots and settings.

Perhaps it’s just my pessimism clouding how I read it. But oh yeah, I’m definitely being cautious. BioWare has stabbed me in the back too many times now, so my trust in them is dead. “Expect the worst, so that you’re never disappointed.”

I doubt that's his reasoning. I mean, even putting aside the various mysteries left behind, the game clearly ends with a foreshadowing for a sequel.

Well, they had said that they aimed to provide closure for Andromeda through the related media, like what books and comics there were. It's clear that the plan was never to make a sequel out of it.

Although I think it's possible that they shifted stance after the reception and sales of the game. Anyway, I'm not going to rule out any possibility for NME, or form any expectations.

Although I think it's possible that they shifted stance after the reception and sales of the game. Anyway, I'm not going to rule out any possibility for NME, or form any expectations. That was their stance after the final patch for ME:A was released, when they officially dropped the SP support for the game and BW Montreal was officially defunct. Which prompted the response for Jemisin that she would provide closure for the Quarian ark in her book and how she would be respectful for it. Lifetime sales for Andromeda have not been great, despite the discounts and the steam re-release. It also hasn't had the lifetime sales that not only previous ME titles enjoyed, but not even other recent Bioware games enjoyed. From what I've gathered, it's sales are below/around ME2's, which one could say it's an 11 year old game now, but it effectively had 2 years in the market, before its lifetime ended, with the release of ME3 and 3 years to the end of its console cycle. Meanwhile, Andromeda has seen no other new ME title in the franchise, the LE could only hope to positively impact its sales at this point, it's console cycle is still going 4 years later, in spite of new consoles in the market, because of availability problems and its revenue is considerably lower than that of ME2, which was released in the end of a financial crisis, the Great Recession of 2007-2009, when the market was not even close to recovering, whereas by 2017 not only was gaming much bigger and its annual gross larger than ever, video game gross from 2017 is up by ~100% compared to 2010's, but it was also at a time when the US economy had enjoyed some of its greatest recent prosperity. ME:A's total budget was also 2.5x that of ME2. So audience reception of the title was negative, critical reception of the title was negative and even the financial performance of the game was disappointing. Which is why I fully expect Bioware to double down and make a sequel to Andromeda.

So in other words you have no source, and what you said only applies at best to the Quarian Ark.

Sounds like some save-face bullshit to me. A game developer doesn’t aim to tease follow-up threads just to pass it on to a cheaper form of supplementary material like a book if they’re gunning for success, because I can tell you right now, gamers by and large don’t give two rat fucks about continuing their game story in a novel. The money’s in the games, not this extra material that orbits around it. This leads me to settle on one of two possibilities: they either quickly passed this off to some author to keep interest in the property alive in the absolutely cheapest way possible as a result of it being a commercial flop, or the game’s development was torpedoed from the beginning, and they expected it to fail way in advance. Considering that Edmonton was dicking around with their bad live service experiment and wasting everyone’s time and sanity, the latter was probably the likeliest case.

To me it seems like he's teasing yet again like he did so many times before. I don't think he would've had responded in a way that seems it doesn't need closure, that will be really dumb. There's far too many hints not to continue, at least some of the big threads, so i think they won't do it until i see otherwise. While many things can change, i still have hopes.
