Lots of articles on this and as the title says, it's only a rumor at this point so no 100% guarantee this happens.
however, what do the people say "if" Microsoft buys out EA? Especially since many here see EA as the issue for Bioware games? Do you think Microsoft lets EA keep its freedom to do what they currently do but this time under the name "Microsoft", or do you think Microsoft would be changing EA management to better suit Microsoft? Would game perception improve as well?
i myself doubt this will happen as EA is already close to Microsoft (which the article hints at). Furthermore EA would be a big acquisition for Microsoft, buying out EA wouldn't be cheap. It is cheaper than building brand new studios that would have to develop over time considering getting EA would be an immediate driving force for them as they're already established financially and they have plenty of games that could be big brand exclusives. As for whether I care if this happens or not, I honestly don't as I doubt much would change besides certain games going exclusive to Xbox, I doubt game developement will change if it happens because I don't view EA as this big bad wolf forcing companies to make things how EA wants it.
