Adagio Teas "Fandom Teas"

By the by, if you are looking for a tea with a strong apple flavor, try Tea Forte's Harvest Apple Spice. This doesn't really have much to do with Dragon Age, but I figured I'd share.

oooh, I'll try it tomorrow! Most of my tea experience is with fiddly white tea. Especially like the fruity white teas.

Well, one is imbimbed by the fans and the other is imbimbed by the devs.

White teas are always subtle anyway, which I prefer, but I agree about mild and fruity. The flavor of the Orange Peels dominates second. I get no hint of vanilla though. I actually doubled up my teaspoons, I found the first steeping to be lacking, but it's possible my imperfect strategy of tea making may be the cause. *shrug*

Haha I've been pondering how I'm going to set up everything once the tea is gone. A collage? but yeah, I don't lurve tea in general, so the purchase was definitely for the artwork.

Merril has no merch?

MEh, on them. On this board, you'll find a lot of Merril lovers. i once rivaled her to see new content and felt pretty crappy about it o-o Wish she'd been in DA4 instead of Morrigan (or with Morrigan!)

So, I moved on to my favorite elf. Fenris! (oh wait, is it actually Zevran? I can't decide. #firstworldproblem) Anyway!

Described as a bitter tea, I was a bit worried.

I was relieved to find it was not bitter. Mostly it tasted of green tea, something smoky, with the mild scent of cardamom (but didn't taste the cardamom.) I didn't mind finishing my cup, but didn't look forward to a second. And I was very pre disposed to loving this tea based on lurve, just saying. My husband said he liked it a lot and will not mind finishing off the tin. I joked that it was because he was romancing Fenris in DA2 right now and he just laughed.

I pretty much loved it. It was sweet, no sugar needed. I had tried AppleJack, then Merril, then Fenris, now Anders. Outright best of all four thus far that I've tried so far.

I want to drink it again, but since I have 23 other teas to try, I push on to the next, Cupid's Misfire

had you bought any of the other teas outside of Merril?

That is one I didn't order. Female Hawke is my Canon, not Male Hawke, so I had no fan attachment to make me buy him.

Anyway, I tried Cupid's Misfire.

Ingredients:


I tasted a mildly tart rooibos with a hint of vanilla and an aftertaste of chocolate/cocoa

I finished the pot but have no interest in another which is still better than Fenris, of whom I did not want a second cup.*

*I remind everyone reading my reviews that I actually don't like tea very much. My favorite "tea" is Raspberry Zinger which is just steeped herbs and orange peels and raspberry flavor really. You could even joke that it's sugar free kool aid. I also occasionally get into a Chai Latte mood.

The woman that makes these blends is an excellent artist, but I dont know how good she is at blending tea's...

Im seeing way too much green tea mixed with stuff like cardamom and cinnamon. I suppose when you have so many characters, you are bound to have to make some pretty strange blends.

That said, the Zevran one actually does sound ok.


Also I just have to say, this pairing? Just...no... I mean i know its called "Cupid misfire" but like...

I mean this is what happens when you sell Fenris back into SLAVERY.

Anywho! In my sadness at Zevran's tea being I turned to sweet Alistair.




I don't know if you guys have ever had a Green Jasmine Tea? I've gotten them at Asian Cuisine resturants. It tasted like that, except instead of Jasmine, it's Rose. The Smell was probably the best part.

I will finish the tin well enough, but don't see myself ordering more.

I just tried Cullen but I obviously burnt him so will have to try again later after I choke down this bitter brew with an aftertaste of caramel.
